At age 55 my first ever new vehicle

I've had midsize SUV's before and I like the larger door size, cargo space, and so forth. So the Terrain seemed to be a logical model to test, and I was impressed with the test drive and bought it. After a year I've been pretty happy with it but a couple of things stand out. The back seat does not fold flat to increase cargo space and this seems to be kind of ridiculous and to spoil the whole idea. And recently I had to have the fuel pump replaced under warranty, because of using E85 fuel, which the service manager told me is not good for the fuel systems despite this being a flex-fuel vehicle. The other thing is that while I was happy with the 4-cylinder engine at first, I now wish I'd opted for the V6 as the car is kind of out of its element in highway driving. Don't get me wrong, it will get you there, but my foot is on the floor a lot more often than I'd prefer. If I trade this one off in the next few years I'll definitely opt for the V6. Overall I am very pleased with it.

Good Car with limited power

I liked the car very much but it has limited space in the trunk area and it had li,ited power and strained to reach a 65 MPH speed limit. The engine had to work really hard but once it reached 65, the car settled in to a nice comfortable cruise.

Perfect car for us at good price

This car is stylish both inside and out. Very comfortable ride, great visuals on dash camera and navigation/phone screen. Bought 2017 with low miles. Only thing it could use is extra cup holders!

Perfect Size and Great Comfort

The 2017 Terrain is the perfect size for an SUV. I have the 6 cyl for towing power of a small camper. Safe, stylish, and outfitted w/ SLT amenities, it's smooth and fun to drive.
