Well maintained vehicle

It’s an old vehicle, but still runs very well. When we take it to the shop for regular maintenance, we are always told the vehicle is in great shape. Vehicle handed down to us from parents. Driven from Southern California to Mesa during recent move.

Best vehicle we have ever owned, ever!

Our Yukon has been all over Ga, Fl, Al, Tn, for our sons baseball games and speed skating races and our daughters cheerleading competitions. Also, throughout the same states and across to Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas and we've racked up right at 300,000 miles to date. We're riding on our 5th set of Firestone Destinations which is what came on it brand new. This Yukon XL rides like a brand new one still today and still has that same get up and go when you really need it especially out of the hole. Man, she's got some power I tell ya. Gas mileage continues to be great. Still getting an average of @ 15-17 in town and 20-23 on the highway. Some don't believe me but if ya take care of ya babies they'll perform better for longer, trust me. My wife refuses to even discuss anything having to do with the subject line of a new vehicle. We love it!

Incredibly reliable. I love this truck.

The 2002 GMC Yukon XL is a fantastic SUV. Even after 16 years and more then 200k miles, I still love this truck.

Workhorse

it was with great sadness that they towed away our "Beast" yesterday. This car saw more field trips, swim meets, soccer tournaments, camping trips, etc. than most cars/trucks see. It ended up with over 250k miles on it, one new transmission and new shocks (of course, put on less than 6 months before some jerk hit us and totaled it!) The only downside of this vehicle is the gas mileage. I think we averaged 13 mpg around town, but I would do it all again for the memories that this car gave us. Yes, it's huge and you'll get the stink eye from little cars, but if you need a big car for big loads, this car did it all!

From a 1998 to a 2002

Vehicle rides smoother & quicker off the line. More "SUV" than truck-like, pre-2000 model. MPG lower city & hwy on the 5.3l versus 5.7l. Wife likes the "plushness" of the ride & handling - clearly not as stiff as pre-2000 models. Jury is still out on the sturdiness. Nothing compares to Suburban - nothing!
