2005 Honda Accord consumer reviews

I bought my 2005 ACCORD EX-L, 2Dr. V-6,Blk Int.,Blk. Ext. Oct. 5, 2007. It had 30,117 miles on it. I change my oil w/synth. every 4k -6k filter too. I get my tires balanced every 6-8k.Change engine air filter/cabin filter every 20k. I drive 51miles to work,102miles there & back.This car has been nothing short of amazing.Cruise on@58mph, 36mpg./ @71mph,32.7mpg!I now have 116k and I will be doing the REQ.main. timingBelt&Tentioner,Waterpump,Sparkplugs,Accessory belt.I am a mechanic,I will now own HONDA ONLY!

I have my 2005 Accord Coupe, 2,4L, 4 cylinders since September 2005. The only money I spent : for gas, tires, oil and brake pads. And the odometer shows 170.000 miles. Still runs like new. On highway 36mpg, that if the speed is under 75 mph, after that goes to 29mph. And I forget to mention that most of the time I drive it on Mexican highways, which can not be compared with the US ones... The average speed I am driving in Mexico is 100 mph, for 5 hours without taking brakes, most of the times. GREAT CAR!!!!

Brakes have been a problem since new. Too much vibration. Honda or dealers never fixed it - eventually said it was my driving style. I do 65,000miles with a set of tires.... I bought a set of Brembo rotors and pads and the problem was fixed - expensive solution. Many many electrical problems - sensors and vanity lights replaced. Not covered by warranty - so they told me!!!! Will never buy another Honda! Car no too bad but Honda America service stinks!!!!

This is my first Honda Accord, and I was a Ford Lady. I cannot say anything bad... Very comfortable and for a 4 cyl., which I was used to a 6 cyl., it does the job. Gas mileage is over the top ... 400 miles to a full tank , could not ask for anything better in this economy ... Cars . com was the best place to start shopping for a used reliable vehicle . Would recommend to all .

I bought this car with 85000 miles on it and i thought this will be just a ride. This is V6 EX and I have to say that leather still looks great at 120 000 miles, radio with XM option is just great ( very loud and clear ) everything works and not a single thing that has broken. I had befofre dodge, chevy, audi, vw passat and I have to tell you this is by far the best car i have owned. Very fast I was doin 120 MPH on the highway easily and it would go faster but I couldn't because of traffic. Engine is very quiet, suspension is kind of stiff just like audi or bmw kind of sporty. I LOVE IT

I was using an old benz before i bought this car and its been good but i just feel honda left somethings undone.The sound system is not outstanding,i dont enjoy music in this car like i used to in my old benz.The steering and headrest feel too hard for comfort.But its a nice car overall......

This car is great! Never have had any problems, starts up like a charm every time. The performance is rather suprising considering its a Honda. I can get an average of 24-29 mpg, which isnt too bad at all with the power you get out of this car. The Exterior is stylish, and the black leather/ stainless steel interior is sporty. Love the steering wheel cruise control/ radio control, dont know what i would do without that.

I have owned this car since 12/04 and now have 70,000 miles on the car. Zero repairs. Just installed new tires, battery and brakes. That's it except for routine maintenance. The navigation system is excellent, much better than on my newer Mercedes. These cars are comfortable solid performers. Excellent power with the V6. Regular gas. Average 22 mpg in town and 28-30 on the highway. It is really hard to imagine that anyone NEEDS more car than this. Ride,handling and comfort are more than adequate. With reasonable care I can believe these cars are good for 200,000 miles or more.

Picked up in SF back bay area and driven almost to the state capital with a big grin on my face (after stopping at an ATM for the bridge toll), Have never stopped grinning. But seriously: The little coupe with the six big gears logs better all 'round number than the 350 LT-46 'Vette I had as a naval officer when I was young and into outrageous largess. Plus this six cylinder acts like a four on the freeway. I am spot on serious now: Twice - in a carefully controlled test run - using I-10 and I-5 on two different dates - I have calculated (I'll admit to a degree in math) 39 mpg. Do I need to say that again? Now - with 60k on the odo - the car remains the best I've ever owned in terms of performance, economy, reliability and value. Sure, it cranks with an ugly sound (but the horn is very authoritative. Yes, the white paint ain't bulletproof (but it permits the a/c to reach full potential in the great Central Valley of California. I'd buy it again - - -

Great car, classy and reliable. I love this car. i cant wait to drive it every day. i get 29 mpg low which is great at 4.00 for gas. i love the look of this car sleek design, looks even better tinted. i have one complaint of this car which in its self deals with there is no AUX input, so your gonna have to spend 100 buck to get one installed. I've gone thru 3 cars in my 20 years of life and my Accord will be mine until it dies. The best car I've ever been IN or Drivin.
