Another Reliable Honda

I've been very happy with my CR-V. I bought it new in 2005, and it has rarely been in the shop for repairs. It is roomy and comfortable for four adults--five if the drive is not long--and the cargo space is huge when the back seat is tumbled forward. I dislike the inconvenience of unplanned car repairs, so I purchase vehicles with a great reputation for reliability. My CR-V has not disappointed!

One of the best cars in market

Its really value for money. Fuel economy is excellent. Design is the best among all cr-v models to date.

Couldn't be happier... well yes I could...

After researching used vehicles, I targeted the '05 CRV SE that would hopefully have low mileage that would be within my price range. After being patient for a couple of months, I found it and been driving it for 4 months. I couldn't be happier with the comfort inside and the looks outside. Everything is laid out well with nice lines of sight to all controls and gauges. I thought having the gear shift on the dash instead of the steering column would be strange but it's just the opposite, I really like it. Seats are extremely comfortable although I wouldn't complain if the drivers seat could go back an extra notch or two. The ride is smooth and quiet which surprised me for a 6 year old vehicle. It speaks very well for how well it was made. The drive is a pleasure whether just heading to work, driving a couple of hours on the interstate, or backroading with the 4WD. I will admit that I have one lone semi-disappointment, that has been the gas mileage. I drive the CRV like a baby, I am very aware at all times to drive it in achieving maximum mpg, but just a little over 2500 miles later, I am at 24.9 mpg. I was really expecting/hoping for 26-27 but it doesn't appear that is going to be a possibility. I would hate to see what it would be if I drove it harder. I have my 60k checkup coming up, perhaps it needs some tuning up, I guess we'll see... Overall, I'm very happy and just short of being thrilled...

love the crv

we bought our c.r.v. used at a b.m.w. dealer (got 05 lx for 11,200) with 47,000 miles!! we used it to tow a 1500 lb camping trailor 350 miles one way, 700 round trip and while its not a very torquey engine it did the job with no problems.. we have had no issues at all and the engine is actually one of hondas best if you know your hondas. my sister has element with same k24 engine and raves about that car too.. no problems at all.. i have 01 civic (bought her new) with lowered suspension, race pulleys, exhaust, and aem intake and 127,000 miles and no repairs what so ever.. at all. very hard driving too.. we dealer maintain them both.. it pays off!! don't feed them wal mart oil and filters!! don't hesitate to pick up a crv you will love it. the negative reviews above are dumb.. people that should have bought a large truck. we get performance, absolute reliability, mileage, and resale all in one..our doberman fits nicely in the back with all of us riding too.. we love our hondas.. go get one!! you won't be sorry. we added dvd in dash and headrest screens and black tint and kids love it. happy hunting

Great family car

I bought my Honda-CRV in 2005 and I've loved it. We are a family of 5 and this car has been good to us. It is reliable, economical, and roomy! The storage in the back is huge. I love my sunroof and built in 6 disc CD changer! Oh, and I can't forget the built in picnic table! I have no complaints.

Reliable

Like the seat height, reliability, traction in bad weather driving, gas mileage. However, it is underpowered, noisy, and the seats are not comfortable on a long trip. A great commuter vehicle; great for running errands. The back cargo space is large -- would have liked to see more space in the rear seat area. Would have also liked to have the rear door open differently (the opening is toward traffic, because it would open toward the curb in Japan -- Japanese drive on the left side of the road). At least this was fixed with the latest version, and its upward lifting rear door. Great safety features for the money.

best of the best

This car's reliability and performance has been the best car I have ever owned. Basically, I just bring it in for the recommended maintenance and then forget about worries. Once, it was 5000 past the maintenance recommended and I just brought it in only because I like to keep the recommended maintenace schedule...not because it was performing subpar. If you want a car that is WORTH the car paymnets and MAINTAINS ITS VALUE BETTER THAN MOST AFTER the car payments are done....PLUS, want relief in snowstorms, when needed, then this is the one for you
