200k and still ticking
Got this used in 2015 with over 160k miles. The previous owner never did a single thing, never even changed the oil. While I do not recommend that, this baby never seemed to care. I am now at 200k and it is still working. Trany starting to slip now and exhaust needs re-done, power steering pump staring to go out. But to get that much out of a van that was never maintained is pretty swell. I think with better maintenance throughout its life it would go to 300k+

Reliable, but not a sports car
I owned this car for a couple years and it always served me well. I liked that it didn't need hardly any repairs. I didn't like how I would get made fun of for driving a mini van, but I like the room.

Great car! But needs a transmission
I have owned this car for 3 years & fell in love! Didn't need anything for 3 years only regular maintenance. Now the transmission is going & our family is going to be with out a vehicle for awhile.

Extreamly reliable!
Ours has been passed down through three family members, going fifteen years strong! The Honda Odyssey weathers extreamly well throughout the seasonal changes. Gas is also a factor that plays well into the minivan, milliage is exemplary, and seating is great! You can pile seven people into mine all with seat belts. Thus making safety a great factor, especially for children and teens!

311K miles
We bought this van with 307K miles on it for a new driver in the family to use it for learning to drive (my other car is manual trans). Its safety features were the main reason I chose it, but it was also very clean and well-maintained. We added an aftermarket back-up camera, but the visibility is better than my Honda Accord regardless. It's great for picking up my aging parents at the airport since it's so easy to get in and out of, and we have driven it on several 500 mile trips since we got it. The previous owners replaced the trans at 160K miles, but we haven't had any problems other than an oil leak at the oil filter housing. The brakes give you confidence, and the engine still loves to kick into the VTEC mode despite all the miles!

238,000 miles!
We buy minivans with 90-100k miles on them (if the vans make it that far then we know they're reliable) and drive them until they require too much maintenance. We are just ending our time with our first Honda Odyssey (2002). We purchased it in 2006 after the owner had changed the transmission due to the known transmission problem (at 88,000 miles). We have driven it everywhere and hauled just about everything - from loads of firewod to 4x8 drywall to a 3500 lb boat AND we live on a dirt road (known to be hard on cars). One thunderstorm we were driving and a tree fell on top of our van (tree was about 1' in diameter). I saw where it hit (right behind our heads) and then wondered if the roof would hold - it held just fine and then the tree rolled off the back of the van after smashing the side window behind me. We got the van fixed and it continued to prove very reliable. I have owned 3 other minivans and was only able to get an extra 65-75k miles - this one we got about 150,000 miles out of it. It also has lots of gusto and is fun to drive on the highway when you want to accelerate fast. Yoohoo!
