Great Ride!
First Honda I have owned. The steering is responsive for a minivan and the ride is very smooth. Very solid construction, nothing rattles. Plenty of leg room for both driver and passengers. This minivan is wider than others allowing elbow room for the passengers in the back rows. The only improvement I would recommend is to have auto-sensing headlights for all models as opposed to my version which is manual.

my second Odyssey
Just pick up my second Odyssey i owned a 2005 EXL, we love it. We got a used 2009 EXL with 10K Miles on it. paided 10K less then MSRP. 09 drives better and less road noise compaired to 05. Honda did a better job on this one.

Love my Odyssey
Interesting point is I went kicking and scratching back to the Honda dealer one year after I purchased my 2007 Accord only because I realized I needed something bigger and more flexible. I went with the Odyssey because I preferred the styling, features and reliability over the competition. What is even more interesting is that the vehicle seems to perform even better when fully loaded. I'm talking about 8 people with all their gear/luggage. Empty I avg 25 mpg hwy but fully loaded I avg. 28 mpg hwy. Just short of 50k the vehicle is like new. No vibration noises or loose moldings or body panels or anything of that nature. I would like if the far back windows would open like some of the competition. Just like my other Honda's, keep up with regular maintenance and she'll keep running for over half a million miles.

Not Happy
The quality is disappointing in our Odyseey. We hoped for a more reliable van. Too many service trips to count.

Best Handling Van
Of the 74 cars I have owned, 9 have been Hondas, two of those Odysseys, all 100% reliable. Our 2002 Honda was an exceptional car, the new one has not proved itself, but is trouble-free so far. The 2002 handled better and got better gas mileage. The new one is more comfortable and quieter, though more tire noise still gets through than the best competition (Sienna). After trying all available minivans, It was clear that the Odyssey was the best driver. The Toyota had Lexus level noise suppression and ride. Drivers will prefer the Odyssey, passengers will like the Sienna. All the others have sub-par reliability histories and were eliminated from consideration. I highly recommend the Odyssey.

My second odyssey.
I have recently purchused my new Honda Odyssey, and i will admit, they did improve over the 2006 model. My 2006 i leased, broke all the time, and it felt like it was going to fall apart after the 1st year. The 2009 we just bought is the same way. You would think that by spending all this extra cash for a honda over the chrysler, you would get more. Well, your wrong. I had a feeling that my old one was a lemon. But after my second, i have no idea what to think. My sister just purchused a brand new Chrysler Town and Country, and what a van. She got it for 28,000, and i got mine for 40,000. And they have the same fetures, exept the Chrysler is smooth, more pickup, has two DVD screens, a year of free satilite radio and TV!. and the seats swivel backwards, with a portable table. If you want a family van, check out the chrysler town and country, you get more than what you paid for, and its not way overpriced.

Bad feature on Hondas.
The adjustment knob for the dash light dimmer is located so that you need to reach either around, or thru, the steering wheel to get to it... a dangerous feature. It's been this way for several years' models but has not been corrected.
