This turned out to be a reliable car and a very good value. I never had a problem with it even after 9 years.

Best car I ever had.

This is made to keep going and going and going. Only complaint was poor paint quality and thin metal.

good economic car

This car met my needs. Had it for 9 years now. Pretty good. Now the heater stopped working. Basic car but reliable.

Amazing Gas Mileage

I have never owned a car that made road trips so inexpensive, and comfy. Maintenance and replacement parts are a little more costly than for other vehicles I've had, but thankfully only a few minor repairs have been needed in the last two years since I bought the car. Over all I have been thoroughly impressed by the 2008 Elantra.

Hyundai's are reliable

Brakes are probably the worst issue with this vehicle. I have had no engine or transmission problems.

Low mileage, meticulous records, dependable

I am the original owner of this vehicle. We were so happy with our 2008 Elantra we bought a 2014 Elantra when we moved to California. This car never spent a night in the shop; it has been incredibly dependable. It would make a great second car or first car for new graduate.

Most reliable car I've EVER owned, (over 35 cars)

SO IMPRESSED with this little gem! NEVER thought I'd drive a Hyundai, much less love one as much as I do mine. Former UAW Chrysler employee, and always had new cars with deep employee discount (every year or 2), so never had to worry about longevity. Between economic changes for me & mine, and being older/wiser with my money, it's been all used cars for a whole now. Some REALLY bad luck with some, decent with others. BUT, THIS little Elantra is FAR & AWAY THE SINGLE BEST Used car purchase I've EVER made! After a string of terrible luck with used cars, I buckled down and scoured the Internet for every shred of information I could find, (every consumer review on every reputable site), and found this particular model year of this car to be among the highest rated of those I'd been considering. Although it had 115k mls, (which I'd never considered buying a car with that many miles, so was definitely concerned), given the price, overall condition and my meager budget, I took a chance. WOW! Knock on wood, but so far, I couldn't be anymore pleased. I drive for Uber and Lyft, as well as Amazon Flex, and having just turned 145k mls, I can tell you that this car has already paid for itself, and then some! All I've done is oil and filter changes, and replaced a few tires, (taking it soon for transmission oil and filter change, and timing belt, but that's just maintenance that's due). I'm stunned at how smooth the power train and suspension still are, (given it's age and miles), as I simply can't imagine it being much better when brand new, (if at all). Great on gas, durable, surprisingly comfortable, smooth ride, (uncommon in compacts), and peppy enough when I need it to be, (daily drive up and down the Cajon Pass - I 15, California. STEEP). Sure, it could use a 5th gear, and the engine does get noisy when you get on it/accelerate quickly/hard), but minor issues, given the overall superb build and quality craftsmanship of this car. Really can't say enough about this car, as while the exterior is a little boring, (looks like a rental type car, stock anyway), the interior is very nice, well thought out and comfortable. Not the most ref8ned, or nicest car I've ever driven, (again, I've owned over 35 cars in my lifetime), but certainly the most reliable and surprising, given my previous assumptions regarding Hyundai. I like and trust it so much, that I'm looking to buy a 2nd one for my wife to drive!

Reliable car

I have owned my Elantra since 2010. In the almost 7 years I've had this car, I've only had to replace tires, brakes and the battery. I've never had to do any major repairs to my car. For an older car, it has held up very well. There's no rust on the body anywhere. I have taken a few long trips over the years and my only complaint with the interior is that the seats are not the most comfortable. The back sort of makes you hunch over while you're driving. It's only an issue when I'm driving more than an hour or so. I've got close to 100,000 miles and it's still going strong.
