great car

Test drove BMW 3/5 series, Audi A4/6, Mercedes C/E, Infiniti G/M, Lexus IS/E/G, and bought the Genesis. If dollars were equal, I would now own a loaded BMW 535, A6, Infiniti M37, or MB E350. The challenge became the incredible value of the not-so-prestigious Hyundai! Heated and Cooled seats (not ventilated... COOLED!), back-up camera, Lexicon sound system (AMAZING!!!), HID directional lights, auto-hold brakes, adaptive cruise control... if you can live without brand prestige, the value of this car is off the charts! 20,000 miles, zero problems, accelerates very strong, drives great, and I love it. No regrets at all. Would absolutely buy it again

Excellent

I now understand why JD Powers rated the Genesis the most reliable mid-level Luxury Sedan. Styling, comfort, features, it's perfect. I don't miss the Infiniti M-45 I traded in for it.

Best Car for the price

I'm 57 and have owned many new cars in the past 20 years. I've had Acuras, Hondas, Chevys and VWs to name a few. This Genesis 4.6 V8 is by far the best car I've owned. The performance is great! The ESC (electronic stability control) prevents you from burning the tires off, even when you turn it off it still has an effect. With that said, when you mash the gas it goes! The power at cruising speed when you pass a car is amazing. It handles very good. Has good feel of the road yet very comfy. The bells and whistles are really convenient. I'm not going to name them all but with the V8 the car comes loaded with all the extras. The 17 speaker Lexicon stereo is amazing. You will find yourself buying DVD audio and DTS CDs because when you play one in this system it truly blows you away how good it sounds!! This is better than anything I've ever heard in a car, aftermarket included. The joystick is located in a good spot and is easy to use. The navigation is spot on and is better than most to input locations. The controls are user friendly and the voice command are the best I've used. It usually recognizes the correct commands although it has made the wrong interpretations a few times. This is a great car and the best value out there. It compares to the Beemers and Lexus and M.B.s but are 15-35k less. Add to that a 10 year 100k mile warranty and you have a real winner. People have their own ideas of what car "looks" good but I really love the way it looks. If you're looking for a luxury sedan do yourself a favor and drive one of these before you buy...You will be pleasantly surprised. My only regret is it's not made in Detroit.

35,000 mile Review of Genesis 4.6

This car was purchased new by us about 11 months ago. I must say that it is one of the best vehicles we have owned. (we have owned BMW and Acura brands)The smart cruise control is very useful in freeway traffic. The sound system is the best we have heard in any car. The power and performance is on par with the best from Germany. Very quiet car with room for 5 large adults. In short its a wonderful car. I recommend the V8 with tech package.

Worst riding car I've ever owned

I am confused. I don't know how anyone can describe the ride of this car as anywhere near good. Either I've developed an extreme sensitivity to a hard, bouncy ride or the car just rides terribly. I like most everything else about the car.

Great Looks,

Great looks. A head turner! Good interior. High quality interior, Mostly quiet ride. Somewhat rough on small pits or bumps. transmission design is not a plus. Great Stereo. Navigation does not always work. The backup camera is great.

Most reliable car I have ever owned

Best car I have ever owned and I traded in an E Class Mercedes. the fit and finish and the ride are absolutely superb. It is no wonder that Consumer Reports rated it higher than the new E Class and BMW 5 series

Better than ?

You name it. I have driven MB for over 25 years and this car has it all plus a price tag that doesn't call to mortgage the home. It rides smoothly, quietyly and relatively good mileage (26-27 mpg) on regular gas. The headroom is adequate for tall people as well as enough leg room front and back for the large people who ride with you.
