2018 Kona Ultimate

I test drove numerous vehicles but fell in love with the looks and performance of my Kona. It has saved me from 2 potential accidents so far with some of the safety features. It is fun to drive and gets great gas mileage.

Best competitor for the VW GTI

The 2018 Kona SEL is a perfect car (don't call it an SUV) for a small family. The Kona Limited FWD, on the other hand, is a genuine sports car substitute, offering 90% of the spirited performance of the VW GTI. With the turbo engine and the dual clutch transmission it is a pure joy to drive if you are into quick, nimble cars. For everyone else, the SEL model might work. I had only three vehicles in my entire life which I wanted to drive for no other reason than enjoying myself: a Kawasaki GPZ 1100, a VW GTI and now the Kona Limited. I am 71, a former Honda tech, and I had driven thousands of cars if that matters. Mike Gordon, Paradise CA 95969

So far, so good.

I recently purchased this vehicle as I felt it would be a safer option than my tiny Ford Fiesta for my newly growing family. So far it has been perfect. I opted to get the tech package which gives brake assist and lane keep assist. I have already found these to be useful and certainly give more peace of mind when driving my newborn around. The vehicle is spacious for a subcompact SUV, but it is still a subcompact. The back seat has plenty of room for the car seat and I feel comfortable sitting back there myself, but the only thing that fits in the trunk is the stroller and a couple of bags. I would say this is a great car for me, but not necessarily for a larger family or a family that needs to store a lot of things in their car.

I LOVE this car

This is the sportiest and most fun car I have ever driven. It is safe, reliable and meets all of my needs. The Apple Car play feature is incredibly efficient and fun to use and makes driving it fun and safer since I don?t have to touch my phone at all while I am driving.

Great car for the price!

I've only owned this car for a week but so far I love it. I'm 6'4" and have pleanty of room. It fits my needs. I'm 66 and only travel 6.5 miles to work so the ride is fine. If I were commuting 30 minutes to an hour per day I may have stayed with my Tuscon, but then again, I'm 6'4 and 280lbs. Not the average sub compact customer:) I stayed with the base package except I wanted the all wheel drive considering I live in New England and wanted it for the snow. Always had big cars but I'm quite impressed with this little Kona. I would definitely recommend this car to someone who does not need to tote around a whole family or do long commutes to work. Super little car!!!! Handles extremely well.

Awesome Crossover SUV

Awesome Ladies car! One of the definitions of Kona means "Lady". Comfortable and good visibility all around for a petite woman. Safety features - blind spot, back up alarm are awesome! Love the heated seats. Full bluetooth technology is a major plus. The turbo engine provides a good kick when needed. I've owned 2 other Hyundai vehicles - Sante Fe and Sonata; this one is the best! Very happy with this new purchase.

First time I have bought new and I love it.

All I can say is I LOVE IT. Not too big not too small just perfect for me. I really love the blind spot indicator.

Love my Kona!

I owned a dearly loved Hyundai 2004 Tiburon. When I saw the Kona debut in LA, I knew that was the car I was finally willing to trade for. I have the Limited in Pulse Red and couldn't be happier. Bought it 3 days after it showed up in my city. I'm amazed at how sporty and fast it is. Thought going from a coupe to a cross over would be much slower, but the revved-up Limited engine really performs. It's a joy to drive my Kona on my 40- mile round trip commute each day. This car has my back.
