Amazing. With Issues.
Never owned a SUV. Great ehicle. But Hyundai support -- well, not so good. How deal with no CD player and an erratic USB system.

Best SUV I have ever owned and a great value too.
This car has a super plush interior ,great styling and comfort. The performance is smooth and when compared to other vehicles is a great value and also has a better warranty than most.

First road trip and WOW
This is actually my second review after owning the palisade for one week and taking it on first long haul. I never write reviews and yet I just have to about this car. I saw the Durango owner comment that this is like a tin can with flimsy handling. Absolutely not true. I’m an aggressive driver and discerning car enthusiast - this vehicle is tighter, faster and more responsive than any GM equivalent out there and rivals the luxury lines as well. With all the incredible driving and safety features, I arrived at my destination five hours later less fatigued than I’ve ever been on a road trip. Interior comfort, kickin’ sound system and perfect driving assists made it an extremely enjoyable road trip. I did notice a slight lull when hitting TN mountains, but with a little more pedal, and slightly noticeable engagement, the Palisade took the climb on with very sufficient power The buttons to touch screen controls with redundancy are intuitive and best I’ve seen. Screens are great, but they shouldn’t make easy to access buttons obsolete. Hyundai has done a nice job anticipating driver desires and needs. My only “hmm” was reach. The dash is clearly not built around the driver but once you program your preferences, nearly everything you want to manipulate is on your steering wheel. The bonus then is a dash design and beautifully large responsive touch screen that enables easy shared use by your passenger, which, in a family vehicle this size, rarely goes empty. My teens love it. The exterior car front? Not my very favorite design but it’s a very small compromise which still turns many heads when I drive. I came from the Honda and Acura lines with a less aggressive front end. I finally decided that the bold SUV lines of the Palisade, Traverse and others is a welcome change. Would I prefer a different grill? Perhaps. But I think a lot of them are odd now with their SUVs - Mazda? Toyota’s 2020 Highlander? Subaru? GM? And btw, while I mostly drive it in ECO mode (hitting 19 in city and 25 hwy) Sport mode doubles the driving fun and performance. Most definitely not a “flimsy” experience! And the final wow with this engine? A V-6 that prefers 87 octane! One interior note - I always liked the doors that when closed create a seamless and flowing transition inside. The Palisade door design doesn’t roll into the dash like a capsule but instead has a slight disruption to design “flow.” But it’s the only, only interior difference I see between this car and it’s German or Japanese or Swedish competition in the luxury tier. Lastly, the ambient colored light options, suede like ceiling material and beautiful panoramic moon roof almost feel limousine - like. Add the quilted leather door insets and incredible seats that even includes a thigh extension for long legs like mine as driver, and well, Hyundai has taken this car to a whole new design level of luxury. Couldn’t ask for more and at such a great price.

Problem after problem
I purchased this car 3 weeks ago and absolutely regret the purchase. The cars "safety features" have nearly caused three accidents in three weeks, the collision avoidance system has slammed on the brakes as I am changing lanes causing the cars behind me to have to slam on their brakes to avoid a pile up. I am still trying to find a way to disable this before it kills my family. I have already disabled the lane departure system which routinely activates when moving into a right turn lane as it apparently thinks I am going off the road and the car actually tries turn the wheel back into the driving lane. I have spent over 10 hours on the phone trying to get the Bluelink system working (which never worked from the factory). They just keep passing me back and forth from dealer to bluelink support and now to hyundai engineers who should get back to me in a week. The car has an automatic parking break system that engages automatically when you put the car in park. It disengages when you put the car in gear and press on the gas petal., but you need to press on the petal with significant pressure which then causes the car to lurch forward. Finally twice today the cars automatic transmission wouldn't switch gears automatically as I accelerated. I needed to remove my foot from the petal and coast about 10 seconds before accelerating again. While this is a new model it is clearly riddled with issues and I have little faith that Hyundai will address them

Wanted to love it
After reading all the rave reviews I wanted to love this car. I did not! Felt like a tin can. Steering was loose and flimsy with a gas pedal to match. Not a fan of the cheap looking grill either. Glad I didn't fall for the hype! Every other SUV I test drove felt tighter and more solid with better pickup and power. I went with 2019 Dodge Durango GT.

Beats the Telluride handily
3 month feedback on Palisade Limited Htrec So I have lived with the vehicle for 6000 miles and in short I am greatly impressed. Traded a Durango RT. I also drive my wife’s Range Rover sport for comparison. To start with, the looks are growing on me. It’s look is a bit polarizing . The palisades sibling ,Telluride, is a cool looking vehicle but for whatever reason most of the design “quirks” on the palisade are starting to make sense. Totally subjective What is not subjective is the excellent driving experience. Namely, quiet composed ride, killer sound system, firm comfortable seats and an absolutely uptown interior. The quilted ambient lit seating area with loads of genuinely useful storage is eminently useful. Area under console seems very underrated to store a purse so it’s not under foot. The open airy cabin is a pleasure see in daylight and the well lit gauges and colored lighting is perfect at night The steering is super light but reasonably accurate for neighborhood driving and the car nearly silent. On the highway only slight wind noise intrudes if you don’t have the very good- not quite audiophile- turned on. Lighting with auto dimming lights is brilliant and the adaptive cruise on point. Tech is first rate with great voice activated GPS, high def back up, front view and 360 overhead cameras. My phone paired in about 30 seconds. The heads up display really is useful and integrates nav , lane alert, and radio. Relatively unobtrusive lane centering and crash mitigation may really save one’s bacon. The car has self leveling rear suspension and good electronic drive modes. The climate control is super intuitive and the seats cool extremely well. I nearly forgot to mention the screens. Beautiful and quite customizable. They light the cabin beautifully at night and are legible. Naturally with great sophistication, there is a learning curve to get the most out of all the data. It’s not rocket surgery and there are you tube how to videos from The car is fast enough for all practical purposes and it tows but I haven’t tried that yet. Telluride is only close competitor and I’d say it’s great too but palisade has edge with 1) remote start(kind of big deal) on key. 2 ) much more elegant and imho useful interior with much more storage for driver and passenger. This is more important than 3 cubic feet behind third row. 3) slightly better stereo on paper. 2 extra speakers. 4) load leveling suspension even without hitch. 5) 12.3 inch electronic gauge cluster which shows side view on each side depending on signal which is significantly better than the gauge cluster in telluride, 6) Electronic 3rd row folding button- not a biggie though. I could go on but I guess I’m did. Cheers
