Sublime
Purchased in 2017 with only 26K miles. This model is the end of the classic Jaguar body style and a perfect combination of power and a cabin that provides every amenity for comfort & class. The rear leg room is unbelievable and with reclining heated seats, 4 zone climate control and a DVD audio system, the passenger experience may rival being behind the wheel. Driving, however, is a trip. This car hugs the pavement without vibrations silently at 80 mph and will propel itself upwards to illegal speeds with no effort at all. You will not be left behind by anyone. The ride is as smooth as it gets. Mechanically, the vehicle is incredibly reliable and worry free. The front air shocks will fail and are pricey (4000 OEM replacement) to repair, but that is the only issue of concern. Any hesitation in full ride height or loss of height while sitting is a likely sign of impending failure. The build is very solid and durable. I do not drive this beautiful ride in winter weather and would avoid salted roads for this aluminum body - but who wants to drive a rear wheel drive car in the snow anyway. At a 91K list in 2005, these cars are a great buy at 15-20% of the original cost. Less than 1000 superV8s were produced for world wide distribution and these very desirable cars can still be found with a great deal of life remaining. I will be maintaining this car for as long as I am able. I can't imagine driving a better combination of class and muscle. It's the only car I have owned that routinely elicits comments from men and women about its beauty and class (black w champagne interior).
