Incredible Ride for the Money

by Jim "Jag Man" Franklyn from Woodstock, GA on Mon Jun 28 2010

Bought this car with 11,400 miles in 2006 and have 78,000 miles now. Zero problems. Oil change every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1. The only thing I have had to do was put on front brakes at 48,000 miles and new tires once. That's it! In January 2010 on the 7th year anniversary I put in new plugs and a high performance air induction filter. This is the best highway car I have ever owned. From 60-90 MPH it literally bears down on the road and handles better than at 40 MPH. Hopefully I can keep this car forever, it is the most incredible bang for the buck I have ever experienced.

Best vehicle purchase ever

by jagguy from Louisville on Sat Nov 05 2016

I bought my "dream 'car from a dealer for $4,700. It only had 53K miles on it. It was immaculate inside and out. It rides like a dream and the V8 engine is awesome.

Great Car

by JC308 from North Attleboro, MA on Wed Dec 12 2012

I've had it for less than 2 months, so I'm hoping that it continues to be reliable and doesn't need a lot of work. Only minor complaints relative to my prior car, a 1999 BMW 540i: sound system not as good, can't lock/unlock doors on driver door handle, have to hold window button until window is completely up/down. Biggest drawback is 16MPG (and I thought the BMW was bad at 20MPG). But overall, in terms of looks, comfort, driving, etc. I am very happy with my new purchase.

Wonderful car

by Aussie from St Louis, MO on Thu Sep 14 2017

This car accelerates and handles well, is incredibly comfortable, and cruises almost silently at 80+ mph (aside from a little Jaguar gurgle from the exhaust pipes). Car consistently gets 25+ mph. With a lot of Ford mechanicals, I can even take it to the local quicklube and know they will have a filter. Overall, a really fine automobile.

Most comfortable car ive owned

by Charlie goodwin on Thu Aug 09 2018

Car is great, I wish it had better cup holders and a larger back seat but it is vary comfortable and has all the features a car needs it, the trunk is large and so is the space. Only feature I wish it had was a rolls royce style retractable hood ornament.

The best car I've ever owned.

by Joseph from Reading, Mass. on Thu Sep 20 2018

I bought mine in mint condition for $8000 with 40,000 miles. I've replaced the worn front Michelins with Pirellis, because Jaguar recommends them. I've only had to replace one coil( there are 8) and the spark plug on the same cylinder needed cleaning...that's all in 6 months of fun driving. The detailing on the XJ8 is terrific, everything is well thought out...Jaguar designers really know things that other car makers don't. It's pretty and fast and everyone I know was surprised when they've seen me driving around. I've gotten more compliments than I ever have before. I like the leather and its style and the only thing that was sub-par is the cupholders.
