Kia system down with a recall

This car has had SO many issues and I only bought it with 70k miles. The worst part is that there’s a recall because an issue with the ABS could cause the car to EXPLODE WHILE PARKED and their entire system is down so I can’t get it serviced!!

I love my 2008 Kia Sorento LX

I have had this car for 9 years now. Bought it at 60,000 Miles and it's now at 197000 miles. I have driven it from texas to Tennesse twice. From Texas to Georgia twice and I use it for daily routes and between the texas cities often. It's very reliable. Minor parts replacements. This was my 2nd Kia and plan to stick with the Kia family. I really don't want to get rid of mine. I will drive it until it stops on its own.

Solid and Dependable

We bought this car in 2010 with 52,000 miles on it, it was my wife's daily driver to and from work, We upgraded her to a 2013 Sorento in 2016, I became the daily driver of it since then. I currently have 217,000 miles on it now, and it still starts and runs like a top. I have replaced brakes, fluids, shocks, and tires. Currently needs exhaust and wheel bearings. These are all normal wear items. This thing is a tank compared to other SUV's I have driven/owned. I was contemplating getting something else recently but I cannot bring myself to get rid of this thing. Most solid SUV I have driven.

Most reliable car i owned

I bought this vehicle in 2012 with 38000 miles. It has 80200 miles now. Since i bought it i have only spent 20 dollars in a pulley. 2 batteries. 2 exhaust flex pipes. Besides tires, brakes, oil and fluids wich is maintenance and cannot be included on brake down expenses. This vehicle is the most reliable of all that i have owned. Is not that pretty inside is why i gave it 3 stars. And it has offroad suspention so is not that comfortable. But it rocks. I love my truck

Most reliable car we have ever owned

Owned new since 2008 and paid around $17k for it new, my wife and I are very impressed with this vehicle, comparing it solely on a value basis (what we paid versus what we got out of it) this is the best vehicle we have owned from a value perspective. At the time of purchase my wife wanted a Ford Explorer but it was too expensive. Being budget minded buyers (or cheap) we took a chance on the Sorento. My wife has used it to commute during the week and I use it on weekends. In the winter it tows snowmobiles and in the summers it is usually towing around a light work trailer and gets driven on private dirt roads out and during the mud season we play around with it from time to time. The 4WD system is very good, and it is a heavy vehicle so it feels like a little tank probably due to its body on frame construction which I like. As of writing this it has 140k miles on it and still performs well and everything works as it should. A few problems (full disclosure) the rear wiper was never any good, and things went wrong with it since owned; 1) ECU module went bad during an inspection, warranty covered this at no cost. 2) recently a transmission line rusted out, pretty minor 100 bux to replace.... So just two problems totaling $100 bucks which is not bad for an eleven year old car that has been used alot. Currently I am test driving a 4Runner because it is the only other SUV I know of that has this body type construction in this vehicle size, due to this they ride very similar. Yes you Toyota fanatics I did just compare a 2008 Sorento with a 2019 4Runner from a ride perspective. I know some will scoff, but it's true they ride / feel the same. The 4 Runner will be our next vehicle as Kia stopped making the body on frame with the V6.

3.8L V6 4WD 262 Hp EX

Where do I start? I bought my Sorento a year ago and I have been every where with it. My girlfriend and I recently drove it to Florida from Michigan without any problems. Driving up and down the smoky mountains, hauling my fishing boat to many different lakes, and most greatly appreciated is the 4 wheel-drive. Being in the snow belt in Michigan has really put my Sorento to the test and it has delivered the best driving expierence everytime. The only CON I have is the fuel economy, with all the driving I do I wish I could get better gas mileage.
