Stylish and reliable vehicle
Bought our 2012 Kia Sportage EX used in 2017. Drawn to the stylish exterior of the EX version. Relatively low mileage with leather seats and 2.4 litre engine, larger than the standard 2.0 in other comparable cross-overs ( Hyundai and Mazda). This vehicle has been one of the most comfortable and reliable vehicles we have ever owned. Now have 220k KM with only standard maintenance. Tires, battery, filters and fuel. We take several long trips each year from Alberta to BC and have found the Kia comfortable and powerful through the mountain passes. The one disappointment is the failure of the UVO stereo system in past year. The speakers stopped working as the section of the amplifier that transmits signal stopped working. Replacement audio unit from Kia is overpriced at CDN 900. This has been our only problem. Like the styling, performance and reliability of this vehicle.

It has been a great car so far
Bought it in 2019, now has 150k miles. Only basic maintenance performed, still runs great, still get compliments on it, no one can believe it's almost 11 years old! I previously owned a 2011 Soul, this rides much better of course, but I honestly don't have any complaints, except I could use a bit more power when I need to punch the accelerator!

Reliable and fun little SUV
We love our 2012 SX so much we purchased a new 2022 and gave the 2012 to our daughter. The engine did fail at 150,000, but Kia Motors replaced it free of charge and gave us a loner car during the repair. We have only had to do regular maintenance, and a few minor repairs that were to be expected with a 10-year-old vehicle. The car currently has 200,000 miles and going strong.

9 years old And going strong. Looking brand new
Better than my last car I. Reliability because of the quick response from Kia to replace what they could free of charge. Letting me know about any recalls.

10yrs old.. NEVER been in repair shop.. GREAT 🚗
My 2012 Signal Red Sportage has pretty much everything you could want. Navagation, Bluetooth, air-conditioned/heated seats, rear camera, push button start, hands free phone, awesome stero, leather interior, panoramic sunroof, tinted windows, car alarm, etc. She has lived in garage, and to date 4/20/21 has 46k actual miles... My one trip was from Ks to Grand Canyon. The only thing that is not factory is windshild wipers and a set of tires (because) I drove over some nails on construction site... FABULOUS CAR

terrible car
It has had several recalls and had total engine fail and replace. Now there is another recall about oil leaks, which there is. Interior is falling apart. Wish we never bought this car new. We've paid the price over and over.`

Great small SUV
I just bought this vehicle; but, so far, I absolutely love it! I’ve always driven small cars but wanted to get off the ground a little bit without being in a huge SUV. This is perfect! Really sleek looking. Love the back up camera. Very comfortable interior with great styling that doesn’t go over the top or too “showy”.

HAVE 103000 ON IT AND AM HAPPY WITH ITS PERFORMANC
IT HAS BEEN VERY SUITABLE FOR US AN ELDERLY COUPLE. JANET REALLY LIKES IT AND LIKES TO DRIVE IT. MOST OF OUR MILES HAVE BEEN "HIGHWAY" AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (55 TO 70 MPH) NOT HAPPY WITH THE LOCATION OF REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT VISIBLE TO CARS RIGHT BEHIND US (TOO LOW ON THE REAR)

Sporty AWD SUV
This vehicle is great on the wallet. Great gas mileage. Many features in a lower priced SUV. I’ve only had to replace the battery, tires & headlamp bulbs in the 3+ years I’ve owned it. Highly recommended!
