Whodathunk?!

I needed to trade my truck in, after many years. BIG sacrifice. Didn’t know what I was looking for. I was going to have to trade my black Ram single cab short bed terrific looking truck in for a vehicle that would fit more of my grandkids in it! As I drove around I came across a used 2018 Kia Sportage with 10,000 miles on it. A sharp gray color. Odd looking but I liked the style! Yikes! Took it for a drive, what a blast !Kinda like driving an oversized go- kart! And accessories....gees.... all kinds of bells and whistles for safety sake! Have put five thousand miles on since the purchase date, no problems. I’m 6’2, 175’. Plenty of room, for 5. A big part for me was to have a fun to drive vehicle that would be able to have room for people and, with seats down, room for items you need mre room than a car trunk has to offer. This works for me. I did buy after market black rims and had larger, more aggresve tires put on it, looks tougher , after all not only is my car all wheel drive, it is also four wheel drive! Great combination! Hard to find, so I was told. Safe, fun, good looking, reputable. Was priced right. Still miss my truck a bit, but less and less as my gradkids get in my new ride! I’m 68 years old, if that matters to anyone! 😂

Rides like you're on a cloud

I have owned a Kia Sportage LX since 2014. Just traded for a 2018 Kia Sportage LX. I am in love with everything about this vehicle.

Not comfortable

Have owned 3 Kia Sorrento, this car doesn't even come close to the comfort level. Tires are too small, lots of road noises and you feel every bump. Seats are not comfortable!

Very reliable car so far.

This car meets all of my family need. It has a lot of leg room in the front and back seat, it also has 3 charging ports which is a really great feature.

Our third KIA and it has performed well to date

This car has performed well and most options are effective. We enjoy this car. We are concerned about the potential mechanical problem announced by KIA requiring alterations to the cars' technology and issuance of a life long maintenance warranty.

Great small car with all comforts & at great price

For the price of this car, I was glad to get most of the extras I wanted. Also good gas mileage and the comfort that I experienced with my larger SUV. Saved money in price of vehicle and gas. Great sound system and able to connect phone to car to have GPS system without having to pay extra for one.

It can be improved if Kia do consider

I truly love the car whe I purchased it few months ago, you see I went from Germany made car to a Korean car, pros are that they do offer whole bunch of great technology but I’m having some issues with how they function, for example: the A/C comes on when wasn’t asked for and gas mileage isn’t as great so that made it worse, gas tank is too small so you have to put gas more frequently, the collision senser’s beeps when they shouldn’t and can be very Annoying, the steering wheels illuminating lights are very poor even when is at highest you still have hard time to see at night, I hope people in Kia’s manufacturing read this and have the engineers to upgrade or correct all the problems that I just mentione, if they do it can be a nice car, also the service department should be more professional and understanding, they really need to improve their service and make the customers feel comfortable when they need there car to be the way it should be instead of looking for something that customer did wrong!

KIA Sportage - great vehicle for the money

The base 2.4L GDI engine has plenty of pep. The vehicle rides well fully loaded (no change in suspension, handling, acceleration, etc). I would recommend this vehicle to anybody looking for a compact SUV (who has no need for a third row of seating). My only frustration has been the difficulty of adding fog lamps. There is no wiring harness provided from the factory. This makes it impossible to have a true factory installation integrated into the steering wheel controls. It also makes an aftermarket installation expensive, as well.
