Looks and drives brand New

The navigationsystem on this 2005 Lexus is still superior to any American or other Japaneese manufacturer. Yhe rear seats recline which is a big plus for taller people who ride in the back seat.

I lIke my RX!

I have a 2005 RX330 which I bought with 45k miles. I really enjoy this SUV, especially the styling, comfort, and reliability. The SUV handles well, but certainly feels like driving a big vehicle. The AWD skid control and traction control seem to work well on drive through snow storms and ski trips. I love the interior layout and the backup camera. The navigation system is nice, although not as easy to use as a Garmin portable unit. The bluetooth feature is awesome. The GPS voice recognition is next to useless though. Plenty of cargo room and all materials are high quality. I like the small pop out cargo compartments in the truck for storing small bags of groceries. Lexus service department charges an arm and a leg for routine service, so I usually take my cars to an independent mechanic for most normal maintenance. If money is a big factor and you need to haul kids around, probably a Toyota Highlander may work better. If sporty handling is more important look for the BMW X5 or Porsche Cayenne, but if you are looking for quality build, comfort and good handling then you will like the Lexus RX.

Ex-'s Vehicle

Pretty much impressed with this SUV. I would never have thought that I would have liked it so much. Controls took a bit of getting used to but once I "got it" all was good. Nothing bad to say about this ride.

amazing safety

I purchased my RX330 used with higher miles but still found it to be a great car. I really like the style of the exterior and interior. The tapered side windows and built in spoiler really give the car a sporty look. I can't say enough about the back-up camera feature. You should use it in addition to the traditional "look back" but it's great for getting in and out of tight parking spaces. It is a little jumpy in lower gears and the navigation isn't the most up-to-date (especially if you live in a city with a lot of recent growth) but still an amazing car overall. The best thing I can say about it is the safety. I was recently involved in a head-on collision (going about 45mph) and came out with very minimal chest injuries (from the seatbelt) and no airbag burns (both the steering wheel and knee airbag deployed). I was a 100% within a week after the collision and definitely have the car to thank.

Best Car I have Owned

This is the first Lexus that I have owned and I have been impressed. My ratings reflect the positives and I will add that dealing with the Lexus service department has also been a positive experience. I am use to very small vehicles...some two seaters, so I was concerned that the RX 330 may be too large; however, it handles great. Of the 5 cars I have owned , this is the best car by far.

2005 Lexus RX 330

This Lexus SUV is quieter and smoother than others I've tried and more like a car, but with the higher seats and visibilty of a SUV. It is still not a sedan in comfort of the ride but is better than a Jeep. The features are nice but add significant cost and the usefulness of the rear-facing TV for backing up and the shifting lights for corners is minimal. The gps maping is not up to date and no upgrades are available and likely will be expensive when new DVD's are available. The RX, like it's ES brother Lexus, has a tendency to pause and lurge forward when re-accelerating out of a slow speed glide at a yield sign or light that turns green before you've stopped. The cost is, with goodies, higher than what a near-luxury car maybe should command, but it is likely to be one of the best in this level of SUV so I can't complain.
