I have had a Lexus 430 SC for 8 years I love this car.I had a Mita before,.wanted a heavier car to drive on the interstate.this car is a dream very smooth ride. Easy top Down....had very little problems. It's unique and beautiful....I love the back seat..great for a dog or child or your coat and purse. . The mita had nothing...no it's not for everyone, but I like it....better than any new car....Getting ready for a new timing Belt , which they say will take care of most of the maintenance for long time. It is a 2004. They only made this car 2002 to 2010..

Did not love the styling at first but it's really growing on me.Looks way better in person than pictures. Very comfortable ride and quiet, top up or down. If you want to address the acceleration concern look to sc430mods.com they sell an accelerator modulator $99. It turns this car into a beast! and you can vary the rate of acceleration. This makes the car xxxx and git. love the mod, plug and play too. Also someone ask about backup camera, they also have a plug and play camera set up that lets you go right through the nav system, come on in reverse and goes back to nav all the rest of the time. Also added a bluetooth receiver $20 on amazon. my 2002 has a aux in the back so it plugs right in, press fm if aux comes up on screen it has a direct connect, sounds awesome. only early models had this I think. This is one great car!

I have an ‘05 in indigo ink pearl, it drives super smooth and looks great! A lot of people have no love for the wheels, but I think it just adds to the unique quirky nature of the car, personally I love them. A good thing about the wheels, is they can be changed to something even more hideous, if you like. This car is never going to light the world on fire, but most people that see it, have never seen one before and I get compliments all the time.

This Beast is my favorite car ever! nobody believes me when I say its a 17 year old car. So comfy, and reasonably quick. Drop the top, and you experience an entirely different car. I hope to have this car forever as my weekend warrior. I don't drive crazy and fast, and I am averaging about 22 miles a gallon.....not too bad for a V8 rear wheel drive car. I still get compliments almost everytime I drive it. This car can brighten your day just by dropping the top (takes about 25 seconds) and cruising. Sure, you basically don't have back seats, but you know that going into this car purchase. Get one, you will be happy! And to those people ragging this car out....have you ever driven one? It's looks are definitely polarizing, but I find it to be retro and current at the same time. It has actually grown on me since I do not see them very often these days.

Aside from the hideous wheels, the car looks great, but in a non conventional way. The build quality and materials are excellent. The smoothness of the purring V8 is a pleasure. The car does not pretend to be a sports car, so if you want go cart handling, look elsewhere. Personally, I don’t take the corners as if I were in a road race, so the smooth ride is good for my needs. Overall, a unique, reliable, and satisfying vehicle.

Love it 😍 love the hard top to let it up or down just press the button. If the sun out then run into a rain. 2 second is all it take. It is a very fast car with power that unreal.

The Lexus is one of the best card I drove, fast, confortable, reliable and extremely beautiful car. The car is in great condition ready to take home.

Lexus says these cars are super reliable to 250,000 miles, and I believe it. Great hard top convertible with wonderful driving and cool looking. No issues in 14 years on my 2005

When the Lexus came out it was quoted to be the most quiet car inside. I have an RX350 , but didn’t remember that, but by SC with the fabulous Pioneer radio the previous owner installed with Bluetooth is like going to your own personal concert. The car is like sitting in a lounge chair in your living room. What a joy to own this car. Thank you to the gentleman in Wichita who owned it before and treated it like a baby, so will I. Best car on the road I have ever driven!

The SC430 has been praised and maligned for 17 years. I read many reviews before deciding on this car. Most were accurate, good or bad. First, it’s a Lexus, so reliability is not an issue. Second, it is extremely luxurious and a pleasure to drive. Third, a very nice one can be had for a fraction of the original $65k list price. I’m still using premium fuel, but not sure it’s absolutely necessary. Getting a little over 20 mpg on average. Very solidly built and tight. Love the retractable hard top, though my wife is not really a convertible person. The back seat is, as one review put it, “vestigial.” Basically a padded parcel shelf. My one caution/complaint: The run-flat tires give a stiff, noisy ride. As soon as I’ve gotten a little use out of them, I’m going to replace them with a set of Michelins and the car will be perfect.
