Really Nice SUV

We have had our MKX for about 3 months. It is a great car. Just the right height for my arthritis- I can just slide in and out. Love the AC seats in summer and Heated seats in winter. Looks great, has lots of toys and gets very good gas mileage.

My first Lincoln

My wife and I have approx 32,500 miles on this car and can't get over how great it is. We have only had it back to the shop once. That was for a circuit in the heated seats not working. We try to drive 65 mph on the highway for the most part. 21 to 25 mpg depending on the outside conditions. It gets better mileage when the air is damp. 18 in town. The car is AWD. I put a K&N air filter on it when We got it as I believe in them. We don't hot rod so that helps everything about any car.

I miss my Volvo

Bought this car to accommodate 2 growing kids. My list of annoyances is a lot longer that my 'glad I bought this' list. I live in the south and this car is HOT; don't drive into the sun.I've had it to the dealer to replace the ABS computer, to fix the rattle in the sunshade, trouble shoot the engine cutting out (while on the road). I have 32000 miles on it and the battery has died and the tires need to be replaced. I'm getting close to 18 MPG city/highway. I put 30+ miles on a weekday carpooling to school. I don't think the car is particularly quiet - I hear alot of road noise. I wish I had it to do all over. I'd go with the Cadillac or the GMC.

Overall Great Car

I've owned the 07 MKX for about 8 months now. Overall it is a great car with many great features, but also a few minor annoyances. One of the things I like best about this car is that it is very quiet - almost no wind noise on the highway. It is much quieter than my wife's RX. Some of the annoyances are the unadjustable cup holders, and lack of thought around accommodating child car seats. If we put our car seat in the middle back seat, then the drivers seat automatically backs into it when the engine is turned off (this is supposed to allow the driver to easily get out). Also the middle head rest in the back makes the car seat have to sit in an awkward position. It is also difficult for a passenger sitting in a side back seat to reach their seat belt fastener because the car seat gets in the way. The fasteners in our RX are more adjustable. Our RX also has the ability for the front passenger seat to tilt all the way back so that it can become a leg rest for a back passenger on long trips, but the MKX doesn't really do this as it is difficult to remove the front seat head rest. Overall I would take the MKX over the RX, but there are those few areas where the RX makes life easier. My gas mileage is around 17 city, but I do get 23-24 on the highway.

Expect 15-18 MPG

I do mostly tollway driving and average 17 mpg. Do not believe you will get anywhere close to 20 MPG... or 18, for that matter! Other than that, it's a great car. I traded in a V8 that required premium gas to save money, but that car got 20 mpg, so I broke even, except for the extra money I had to shell out for the MKX. Some interior rattling noises.

Don't believe the MPG on the sticker!

I went from a high performance rear wheel drive muscle car to the MKX primarilly to save money on gas relying on increased miles per gallon and a lower price per gallon of about .20 cents(regular vs. Premium). The sticker on the window says 20 to 24 mpg and I'm averaging about 17 mpg and most of my driving is highway. Other than my dissatifaction with the gas consumption, it's a great vehicle, especially in snow!

Very Comfortable

I love this vehicle, but could do better some examples are: no passenger handle above side window, heated seats take much longer than Honda does to heat up, defroster does not thaw windshield wipers (Acura has a wipper defroster), many blind spots when backing up, navigation is off, vista roof when open is very noisy on the passenger side, and when open slightly is VERY NOISY cannot have it open just a little, so sad!

Traded my Lexus!

I have owned a Lexus RX for ever. For me I really went out on a limb to purchase the MKX. I have not regreted it one bit. I get comments from all over of the exterior styling. I love the room and the ride. I do believe my Lexus has a more luxury dash than the MKX, but I am very satified and glad I purchased it.

BEST VEHICLE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have owned my MKX now for 8 months and have not had a single issue with it at all. I proudly pick this over any foreign luxury and constantly get asked how much I spent and frankly they are shocked when I tell them how much I bought my X for!!
