Explore the 2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid

1937 Ford Flathead V8 to 2012 MKZ Hybrid

Drove a lot of different cars in my life. Started out in a Ford and ended up with a Lincoln Hybrid. Seemed fitting somehow despite the multitude of cars/trucks in between. I enjoy the Hybrid and appreciate the Ford products more than any other brand I have owned. Easy to drive. Comfortable. Fuel efficient and great dealer service.

Excellent gas mileage

Our hybrid is getting even better mileage than the promised 40mpg. Very comfy interior. Lots of room in car and trunk. For the price, the isn't a more stylish, comfortable hybrid out there

Jury is still out ...

The more I drive this Lincoln, the better I am liking it. However, still trying to figure out if the hybrid will deliver on its stated city/highway MPG. Not supposed to kick into engine mode until the speed of 47. Well, that's not the way it's working out. Upon checking the "gauge" on the dash, it appears the engine is being used well before I hit the 47 MPH figure. Hoping that changes over time. Otherwise, it's more quiet and comforable than I thought. Truck is small but the battery has to go somewhere.

2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid

This is a sleeper car from Lincoln. It's essentially the Ford Fusion Hybrid, which got great reviews from all the car magazines and review sites, but with a very upgraded interior, including all the bells and whistles: Bridge of Weir heated and cooled front leather seats, BLIS cross traffic warning system, side traffic warning system, excellent back up camera, rain sensing wipers, satellite and HD radio, and best of all, 41 mgp in town (I am actually getting about 43) and 36 mpg on the highway (I am getting closer to 38 mpg). The newer 2013 model will likely be about $10,000 more expensive similarly equipped; it will be a sexier design, but for a basic entry level luxury car with excellent efficiency, super quiet ride and very good handling, this can't be beat.

Excellent Value

We have had this car for 6 months and it has exceeded our expectations. Driving carefully we are averaging overall 41.2 MPG and I have seen as high as 47.7 on the highway, this in a fully loaded luxury car. My wife uses it as her daily driver and loves all the features, especially SYNC which is perfect for her use. We get many compliments on the car. At a time when gasoline prices are soaring, this is the perfect luxury vehicle to own.

Happy so far

I dumped a 2011 Equinox and lost 1k, but it was worth it! Equinox = 17 mpg, MKZ 35 mpg average so far (mixed hwy/city) The interior is lacking (a tiny bit) in luxury but I knew this up front. My only issue is storage room inside and trunk, I wish they would have opted for a little more sheet metal, but that?s where they all are going. It is close to my old 2002 Caddy DTS.

awesome car

I am SO happy with my Hybrid Lincoln!! Now I have only had it less than a month but I have wanted a Lincoln my whole life and I am NOT disappointed. The ride is luxuious. I just took my first rode trip and my gas milage was outstanding! I got 33.8 mpg on the highway. It says I could get as high as 35. I bought the car on the 1st of Sept, been driving all over town, and did not fill up again until the 15th also including a 6 hour trip of 318 miles away!!! I did use cruise control set at 72 mph. The book says it take a little while for the car to get used to your driving habits. Also passing was NO problem. Its a Hybrid, never driven one before this and also a 4 cylinder but it gives you power when you need it. I love all the features..heated and cooled seats, SNYC.(I did not get anything extra) I listened to my iphone music all the way with no problem. It grows leaves and flowers for good driving habits and I see the first flower starting to bud on my dashboard and that is SO exciting. I did buy the bumper to bumper warranty being how this is a Hybrid; not sure about the cost of repair of such a thing so better safe than sorry. So Very smooth ride, fantastic features!!! My husband is VERY impressed. He was extremely comfy in the passenger seat. He took a nap, kept his air conditioning controls set the way he wanted (dual controls). So, if you are considering this car, you will NOT be disappointed.

Good ride

Just a few tweaks and this would be and outstanding vehicle. It runs smooth and quite inside and out. I am pleased with it. Tweaks: Arm rest on doors to low for comfort Rear seat head rest in the way of a clear view and unable to remove on MKZH without disassemble of rear seat. Odometer and Trip odometer difficult to read.(Too small) Navigation system could be more friendly to use , as well as, SYNC. Average mpg 38.2 Would like to see improvement in mpg. being a Hybrid. Would I purchase it again, yes.
