Great Car - check it out!

I really love this car and the way it drives. Just the right size for me - bigger than my sedan, but not so big I can't park it. It really is designed for the driver. The only improvement I need at the moment is an easier to use Navigation system. Still using my phone.

I love it, but....

I really like my White CX-5 GT. It's noticeable that Mazda is trying to work their way up market with the interior finishes and design, but they're not quite there. Yet. First, the good. The car handles well and rides well, if a bit firm but that's to be expected when you're rolling on 19 inch wheels. Acceleration is all right, not mind blowing fast, but there's enough pep to shoot the gap and merge/pass safely. The interior is remarkably well put together and everything falls where it should and the majority of the cargo area is carpeted instead of lined with cheap plastic. There is a piece of plastic by the pedals that feel thin and brittle, though. The seats hold my butt in place when turning, are comfortable, and the heated seats warm up quickly. Rear seat room is okay, not great, but the seat sits high so your knees aren't uncomfortably elevated. Arguably, the greatest pro this car has is how quiet it is at speed. The cabin is well isolated and little noise comes through. Gas mileage is also impressive. I commute in Northern VA traffic every morning and average between 27 and 28 MPG. The quality is there, but Mazda has a little more to go if they're wanting to steal buyers from Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes. For example, the switch gear for the windows should be back-lit for all windows and all windows should be auto up/down, but they aren't. It just adds that extra touch. There's no panoramic sunroof available. The standard sunroof is fine, but it's time to add a panoramic sunroof, Mazda. The mirrors should be power folding and automatically fold when the car is locked. The display in the gauge cluster is a fine size, but there needs to be more views to it like the tire pressure of each wheel or the navigation steps. The car has a great, great transmission and if you're used to transmissions that find their top gear asap, then you'll be surprised when driving this one since it's always in the right gear and gets you the power you need when you want it. That said, it needs another gear or two. There's no reason for this engine to be turning at about 2,500 when going 70. A highway overdrive gear to settle the engine down to 2,000RPM at 70 would make it feel more relaxed and help with highway gas mileage. I find that the highway estimate of 29MPG is spot on. On highway trips I get anywhere from 29 to 31 (31 on flat stretches). My last gripe with this car is the Mazda Connect system. It works well and the controls are intuitive enough, but the tech needs to be upgraded. Loading times are not consistent and sometimes it's just down right slow if it's a cold morning. If you're like me and want quality at a great value, Mazda is the way to go. This car really does feel a class above the CRV, Escape, Rav4, and Rogue, but it's not quite as posh as a Lexus or BMW. It's also $10,000 less than a BMW and Lexus. This car definitely deserves your attention if you're in the market for a small SUV. If Mazda wanted to make this car equal to a BMW, Lexus, Mercedes there's a just a few things they'd need to do- Add a more powerful engine - the car can handle it. make a panoramic sunroof optional add a 7th or 8th gear to the transmission for highway cruising fix little touches, like power folding mirrors, back-lit switch gear, auto up/down windows for all.

Mazda puts the fun in driving,

Never thought I would find another car as much fun to drive and as useful as my Tribute, but once again Mazda did it. Love my new CX 5! He is comfortable, stylish, fun to drive and sooooo quite. The new 2017 CX5 was always the car to beat when I began researching my new car purchase. I tested everything and it all came back to the CX5. The CX5 competes admirably with the luxury boys in comfort and style, and is the king of Fun To Drive. Zoom Zoom baby!

Reliability is a must!

Currently I am on my third CX5 and have live them all. I don?t have to think twice about purchasing any other car. I have also owned the Mazda 3 and quite frankly it saved my life! Great cars. My car was totaled, but I was left in one piece! What a great and safe car!

Classy Car

The design is really modern, with a very comfortable, smooth and quiet ride. The 19 inch wheels and the optional Heads Up display are well worth it.

Loving my new ride!

I really love this new 2017 Mazda CX5 Touring SUV. It handles very well and the details within the car is right on. I do recommend adding the "Preferred Equipment Package", it's well worth the cost. Nice color selections for this SUV.

Just what I wanted

Like any typical Californian, I?m pretty picky when it comes to my car. I?d been driving a Camry for a number of years and I am spoiled. I freely admit I enjoyed the luxury and reliability. So when I found myself with the need for an SUV I didn?t want to settle for a box on wheels that I had to wrestle down the road. I tested plenty of rides and was delighted to drive my new Mazda. Not only is it luxurious but the styling is very appealing to my artist?s eye. I love the midnight blue color and the gas mileage is amazing. It includes all the amenities I enjoyed in my Camry plus a bunch of newer safety features. I definitely made the right choice for my needs.
