just not sure about long term reliability

Car drives great. I traded in a 06 Pilot for this one, and it has more cargo room As I said almost bought a highlander but dealer would not throw in cross bars and the sticking gas peddle thing made me nervous. Only real complaint is gas mileage, which is bad, and could use more storage spaces. My Pilot did better on gas. These were all thngs that other consumers brought out in their ratings. I just hope I made the right decision in passing on the highlander.

Great Car

What a great car! I took a step up from my old RAV 4 to a larger family vehicle without having to buy a minivan. For those parents that still consider themselve too cool for the soccer mom car, this is the car for you.

Big ride -drives small

My CX9 lives up to the Zoom Zoom add, would have to get a BMW X5 to beat the handling of this cross over. The 20 inch wheels add to the good looks. Not over powered but enough when you need it. Have the navigation system - it could be better. Mazda should have gone to Ford for their system. I like the safety feature of the blind spot sensors in the side mirrors. Put your signal on and if there is a car or motorcycle on that side it beeps. Back up camera is also a plus - easy to see in the 7in. screen. Getting about 19mpg combined 23 on a trip.

Stylish family mover

Overall great value for the money compared to Highlander, CR-V. Wanted a SUV that drove more like a car and less like a truck (see Pathfinder, 4Runner). Blind Spot Monitoring is great for avoiding accidents. Car could use some more horses as pickup is a little sluggish, but coming from a V8 SUV it may just be me. As others noted, road noise/ride can be a little harsh. I solved this issue by swapping out the stock tires with some Yokahama Prada Specs, car is noticeably quieter and has better traction (snow and rain here in the northeast).

Bells and whistles without the hefty sticker price

Great car! Love the keyless entry, the sporty handling with a smooth ride. Third row roomy and easy to access. Love that you don't need premium gas. MPG's better than my Lexus RX350. Love the IPOD jack, and XM Radio! Great car, fully loaded, witout the grand sticker price!

I'm In Love

Granted, I just drove this car off the lot 18 hours ago, but I'm completely in love with it. We have a family of 5 wanted more room and something that looked and felt great to drive. I previously owned a 2003 Saturn Vue with a faulty transmission. Saturn gave us a $5000 credit toward a new GM car so we went shopping. I test drove the Acadia and Traverse but both felt just too bulky. Then there was price. I would have paid more for a basic Traverse loaded with plastic parts and cloth. I got a spankin new Grand Touring with all the bells and whistles for a lot less money. The blind spot monitoring is fantastic when you've got some distractions in your back seat (kids). The 20 inch wheels, trims, and leather interior make it look so classy. Even the redesigned front grill looks like a happy face. It turns tight corners with ease and it does NOT feel like a bulky truck despite its size. Sorry GM, even with the 5K toward a new purchase, Mazda still beat you on price, style, safety, and handling. Definitely a great buy for families like us.

Best of many we tested

Our new CX-9 fit like a glove from the very first test drive. We drove the Acadia, Traverse, Highlander, Pilot and Enclave. The CX-9 came up #1 against all of them in almost every category Buick had a more stlylish interior). The Blaind Spot Monitor is a big plus. Couldn't be happier!

I widely recommend CX 9

I have a Mazda CX-9, 2007, I love it, Im so in love that now that I am going to change it I am doubting about it. I do not know if buy an Acadia or to buy again a Mazda CX-9, 2010....due that Mazda is very comfortable and its performance is excellent and overall it brakes at the moment you want to!!!!Believe me I am really doubting!!!!
