2012 Mazda3 sedan Grand Touring Skyactiv automatic
This car is efficient and sporty at the same time. In the month we've owned it, we've gotten superb mileage with it, even getting as much as 42 mpg on the freeway. The ride is firm, planted, and controlled, but comfortable. Going into curves is a lot of fun as you don't really have to slow down. The leather seats, which are heated, are very nice. Still need to figure out how to operate the navigation system. The Bose sound system sounds great with the Sirius satellite radio. There's a neat feature on the power exterior mirrors, which lets you know if there's a car in your blind spot. So far it's been a joy to drive... I can't think of a single complaint. For the money, we sure got a lot. Love this car!

BMW wannabe
Great handling (BMW like) - love it! The car feels very secure and solid. Plenty of power and torque AND FUN! I purchase a 2012 HB Sport Touring Automatic (Black). After 900 miles - the only thing that could make me a rating 5 happy would be better gas mileage. The 2.5L is powerful, but a tad thirsty. I've been averaging 25.4 mpg in mixed driving. Great car and would recommend purchasing. Check out the SkyActiv engine equipped if mileage is high on your priority list - almost as powerful as the 2.5L I've read. The car seems like a great value for the money.

2012 Mazda 3
Just an alright car. Gas mileage not great, about 25 MPG so far. Only bought the car due to Zero percent financing. Finance dept tries to sell you everything from gap insurance to windshield coverage. (I guess they don't do rustproofing anymore?) I bought the 2012 model in late Sept 2011 and then 2 months later they change the engine to a more fuel efficent one. If I knew this I would have waited. To recap, just an average car. Nothing to jump hoops about.

we now own two
We purchased a 2010 M3 sedan and have just loved it for the last two years and 25k miles. We intended to buy an '11 for my use as a commuter, the '10 going to my 17 y.o. daughter. We happened to visit our dealership just as they were getting the new '12s on the lot. We picked out a graphite hatchback and liked the new cockpit materials better in the 12 (the silver plastic looked gimmicky). The hatch has all the same great driving character that the sedan has, with more storage room. I
