Classic Mercedes 124 Quality

I have owned 3 W 124 series MB. The Bruno Sacco design is to this day, timeless. The best generation of Mercedes...when the engineers had their say, not the marketing people. Quality was everywhere with these cars

Extremely reliable and a cheap classic

1983 Mercedes 240d no race car but it’s the best car ever built as well as being good on gas getting 25-30 mpg for a car that’s from the mid 80s and doesn’t look hideous like modern cars and while I was driving around the block I got two complements

4.7

This may be the best car Mercedes ever produced

This is quite possibly the safest and longest lasting car ever made. What other car are built to last a lifetime? Great lines, looks as good as the day it was manufactured 27 years ago and runs like new.

Reliable car I’ve owned

It’s a regular car. This car works very will and will fit all the needs that people may have especially as a regular commuter. This car is in very well conditions and have some new features like the rims and tires. This car also rides very well compared to some other cars I have tried. This car is also a Mercedes !!

1987 300 e

nice car but a royal pain to work on. if you own a benz invest in some good tools and dont be afraid to get greasy at the junkyard, you will need parts and new they are very expensive but in expensive used. ahead of its time tech wise but very complicated to troubleshoot problems when things go wrong

Mercedes is just simply the best!

I would own this vehicle over and over again. It has served me well for a long time. Own and drive a Mercedes, and you will never go back!

1992 300E - Can't believe that it's 26 years old.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this vehicle! I just bought it even though it's 26 years old, based on its reviews. The car feels solid and durable. It's slightly a project car, as there are some parts that will need to be replaced and some services that will need to be carried out, but here's the thing - the car hasn't ever failed to start and has never stopped running. Not for anyone who has owned the car, nor for me. How does this car stay alive like this?? I plan to keep the car, just simply to test how long this car can survive.

Love/hate Relationship

I bought my 300e with a 2.6 over 5 years ago with 103k miles on it. I absolutely love the feel, the ride, and the classic styling. The exterior and leather interior are near perfect. Put the car on a lift, and there is no rust to be found. That's the love. The hate has been a constant series of repairs. Gaskets, hoses, radiator, and an electronic module that took a year to diagnose. I struggle with each repair thinking it will be the last. In the end though, I have a high quality used car that I could drive another 100k miles happily. We use it mainly to defer miles off our primary "family" van.

Still Going Strong

"This car still runs well with a long lasting engine. Trying to find my way in the dark while it's raining is easy with the window washers for the front windshield and the headlights. This car helps get the job done especially at the airport, getting there with the roomy comfortable interior features for the long ride to packing all the luggage in the trunk. It goes faster than a new minivan with 160 mph and always get to the destination on time!"
