terrible mechanically.

Bought this car as a preowned in mint condition yet have constant problems . Power steering pumps and hoses, ball joints, tie rods, A/C fans and controls, car sounds like a 747 at idle, transmission slips, steering column bushings replaced 3 times gone again, navigation difficult to use so you don't,bulbs and headlights constantly burn out, powertailgate sticks, etc. Totally unacceptable for Mercedes to put out a car like this. Now out of warrenty, expect to spend a couple of thousand every few months. When you go to repair shop everyone familiar with issues and Mercedes doesn't seem to address.I had a 1999 with same issues and thought they would fix after 10 years.Crazy me!

likes to go to the shop

Car kept stalling out at red lights. Got it fixed after 4visits to the dealer. Power steering resevoir leaked. It took two visits to the dealer to fix it. The right rear strut leaked at about 50,000 mil. got it fixed at a local shop. Transmission is balky at times at 62,000 mil. drivers seat leatherette is cracking. Right rear brake lamp went out. I replaced the bulb but it still will not work. Drivers side rear view mirror control stopped working at about 59,000 mil.

My Dream Car!

I have had this car for about 5 months so far and.....LOVE IT!!!! My favorite feature about my car is the handling because I never slip in the snow, like in my old car, it was a 2005 Nissan Murano AWD. The one thing I don't like is the MPG. My average is 18.5 but now gas prices are high and it is getting expensive. This car is great for anybody and everybody!! Hope this helps!

dont buy this car

i've owned this car for 9mths & have always had problems. first with the heating/cooling controls & now my car has been at the dealer for 2weeks with an electrical/computer problems. i am lucky that the warranty was still good, but i am not happy with the service quality as they are not even close to being on time and now i am left to sell this car with only 33000 miles!

LOVE THIS CAR!!

I had this car for about a year and I love it. They only thing I don't like is the navigation. But everything else is wonderful. I choose this car of the 2007 BMW X5.

Good....but not great

I don't like its style to much, but it is very big, reliable and comfortable. I traded my 2001 BMW X5 3.0 for this and it rocks! The only thing I dislike about it is that it doesn't have a third row.I know the XC90 and stuff are the same size and happen to have a roomy third row.Oh well I don't think I'll really need one. Overall its a pretty good car,it may be a bit expensive at what I payed ($43,250.)But it is still a great car!

Terrible car from such a prestigous company

bought car used with 12,000 miles on it. have had nothing but problems since. the car lacks the fit and finish of other benzes. rattles left and right. speaker system makes noises even when off. has had recalls. have had problems with the steering, and front passenger seat have had numerous problems. car has poor structural stability. lacks soft touch materials and features for the price. the navigation doesn't have touch screen. and is confusing. worst of all is the tranny, which is very smooth but has almost left us stranded thrice because of refusing to shift from first gear. has continued happening even after "fixing it". The service from the dealer is also poor. would not trust this car cross country. it does however have a smooth engine that is willing to rev even though it lacks torque at low rpm. steer clear of this car

Very reliable

Great car. I had an X5 before, and this car tops it. Very nice ride, haven't had an issue after 2 years. My BMW X5 was in the shop 70% of the time the first 3 months. THis is a much better car, worth the money, especially as compared to an X5.

nothing better in that size

excellent fuel economy ( I get 22.7mpg hwy)...super silent cabine....7speed transmission...go for the HK sound, it is unreal...huge trunk...I only don't like their nav interface and the fact it is not a touchscreen....But the car has been running as new since day one...now it has 12K...
