Quality you would expect from Mercedes Benz

by Rx Law from Danville, California on Tue Jun 17 2014

I bought this as a replacement for my aging 1999 MB S500. 2010 is the first year the S series was enlarged since they made it small in 2000. It is still smaller than my 1999 model, but it is still comfortable, and very roomy in the back. The computer enhancements are great. The best surprise was the computerized support for the seats that adjust the amount of support when banking a turn to provide lateral support for the driver.

Beauty is what beauty does

by Rondu from Euclid, OH on Sat Jul 14 2018

Beautiful car...if you only had to look at it...had major problem with air ride and shock and suspension system after the honeymoon wore off it proved to be more trouble then it was worth...once the mileage gets high...regardless to how cute it may be...put some distance between this one and your money...that is if you plan on keeping it

Best car ever owned

by no3putts from Spring, TX on Thu Oct 20 2011

Traded 08 s550 for the 10'. Both cars excellent. Most well thought out cockpit controls. Had LS460 before. It was a nice car, but no match for the S, except in price. The 'i' control allows you to do anything with the single toggle. Ride, power, excellent mileage

Always keep coming back to S class

by Jerry from Bucks County PA on Thu Dec 02 2010

Also have Bentley GTC and Range Rover. They are fun but nothing beats the comfort of an S Class. Relaxation begins as you start the engine. Great ergonomics. Heated massage. Quiet safety and perfomance

Awesome Ride

by Norten from on Tue Oct 04 2011

The best luxury performance motorcar on the road, bar none! I'm getting ready to buy my second one. Looked at the 2011 but with the smaller engine and the "ecco" motor/transmission hook-up I've decided to go with the 2010. Anybody who can afford this car should go out and get one. Heck, even if you can't afford it go down to your local dealer and test drive this magnificient vehicle. It'll give you something to shoot for in the future.

Amazing

by J.R. Jordan from Phoenix, AZ on Mon Nov 28 2011

Originally bought a Mercedes E550 but soon found out that it was much to small for me and my family. The S550 is just amazing. Big, fast, luxurious, comfortable and drives like a dream. It is the most amazing luxury car I have ever driven

Nice car except the Air suspension (For used car)

by Salvatore from Memphis, TN on Mon Sep 18 2017

Overall it is very nice to drive and comfortable, but for buying used car the air suspension (Airmatic) is a possible problem for S class. Buy the car if it has clear history. additional problems: Oil leak from back side headcover of engine is common, and the suspension bushings are weak (Car is too heavy) especially for front lower control arms and sway bars.

Best car I have ever owned

by pmpassion from Newport News on Sat Apr 15 2017

Beautiful vehicle inside and out. Driving the car is like being in a different world. Rear seats are just as comfortable as the front. Tons of power from the twin turbo. Love this vehicle, will have it for a while.

Our Take on the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Even as BMW, Audi and Jaguar throw new cars into the luxury-flagship ring, Mercedes-Benz has kept its S-Class sedan competitive, with sedans that start below $90,000 and top out at more than double that.

The S-Class is still a spectacle of refinement — though it's dinged in small part by an inconsistent accelerator pedal.

While the S-Class is four years into the current generation, new for 2010 is the V-6-powered S400 Hybrid, which we cover in greater detail here. It anchors the bottom of the S-Class lineup. In order of ascending price, the rest of the lineup includes the S550, S63 AMG, S600 and S65 AMG. Click here to compare the group. All five models employ rear-wheel drive, but... Read More
