2017 Lancer GTS

Overall a great package for what it cost. Mileage and comfort are fine, love the switchable AWD. Merging on to freeways a breeze with CVT transmission a bit different than a traditional transmission without a the shift point surges.....smooth. Also we own a 2005 lancer with over 200,000 km and burns no oil and has been trouble free and on many road trips.

Fun and functional!

My boyfriend purchased his 2017 Lancer SE in June 2017. He test drove it and fell in love right away. We both drive it about the same amount of time, and we just hit 13k miles yesterday. The exterior is pretty sleek, but we have noticed an issue with the clear coat over the paint... it scratches horribly. His trunk has so many small scratches and we have not once set anything on top that would have caused it. The interior is pretty shabby! Cheap plastic that scratches too easy and just looks blah. The seats are nice though! The fabric is comfortable and easy to clean. As for space, not bad at all. For a compact sedan, leg room is really good, more so in the front (where it's most important anyway.) The CVT in this car is alright. Has quite a bit of lag until you hit somewhere around 50 mph and then it really goes. The tech features in this car are pretty minimal for 2017! Of course you have SiriusXM and Bluetooth, but not a whole lot else. The Bluetooth feature sometimes randomly disappears from the menu and the only way to fix it is to shut the car off and turn it back on again. Kind of annoying! Navigation would have been a great feature, especially since the dash is such a weird texture to the point a phone mount won't suction. The backup camera is nice and clear, just make sure to clean it off in the winter, lol. Especially helpful since we do a lot of parallel parking where we live. Having AWD in the snowy Wisconsin winters has been a godsend. We have only gotten stuck once in this car. Reliability has been fantastic this far. No complaints there! Overall, it's a reliable car and does what it's built to do. Would I buy one myself? Eh... considering what else is out there for the same price with more features, probably not. But my boyfriend is pretty satisfied with his Lancer, he just hates the payment lol.

Most Reliable and Best Looking Car I?ve Owned!

All of my ratings are relative of course, to the price point. I?ve never gotten so good of performance out of a commuter car. It?s sporty, fuel efficient (29-31mpg on average) and extremely customizable. I?ve gotten way too many compliments for its looks and performance that I?m actually shopping for a 2017 model right now! Never had issues, never had an engine light, never had any weird noises, just an all around beast of a car.. well done Mitsubishi, well done.

More for the money

Find an SEL with AWD and the Sun and Sound package and enjoy. It's a lot of car for the money. When the 2017s are sold off you will never find a deal like this again. Ran into an ice storm going through mountains, Pushed the 4WD switch and my Lancer became a mountain goat. The "professional" critics dis the little Lancer, listen to owners these things are loved.

2017 Lancer SE

My wife and I exchanged our leased Outlander Sport SE vehicles for a new Lancer SE 2017 and a new Mirage Hatchback. Both cars have exceeded our expectation and the little 3-cylinder Mirage is much better than we expected. The Lancer SE is an excellent car and the only complaint I have with the Lancer SE is that it doesn't have a rear window wiper. But it drives great, and has been extremely enjoyable so far. Highly recommend both for people looking to keep down the cost of new cars. This is the last year for the Lancer though.

First car I ever bought, pretty decent.

It is pretty roomy. Drives well and not much outside noise comes in, it seems to sway on the rpm meter and lose and gain slight power when sitting still at a light too long. Maybe a fuel tank problem?
