2012 Nissan Rogue consumer reviews

After test-driving and looking around for about 2 months, we finally decided to go for the Rogue S Spec Ed. for two reasons. Size and Value. Though it looks kind of tiny little SUV, it has lots of space in side. Both for passenger and for cargo to haul around. The leg room in the back is superb. And the price is just right. We were able to get the Spec Ed for less than 21k OTD. Even base Hyundai Tucson was costing us more than that, and that too with a 2.0 liter engine. The ride quality is great, the built is fantastic. It has enough power to move around and zip through the lanes and the CVT is very smooth. Gas mileage is a bit disappointing for a 2.5 liter engine, but then again, its an SUV. You cant compare it to a Civic or a Sentra or a Corolla. This is our second Nissan in the family and we are very happy with our purchase. If you are in the market for a small SUV, I will definitely recommend the Rogue. At least give it a spin. I am pretty sure it will make it on your list of cars too.

Had this small SUV as a rental for a week while my SUV got repaired after an accident. This was a major dissappointment, I was about to return it ahead of time to get a different vehicle. Even though I only drove it ~15 miles per day the experience was excruciating. The transmission is really terrible, it makes the car drive very sluggish. Handling is awful as well. The instruments are annoying with all the digital junk in the center. Very poor sight through the rear view mirror. I could go on and on. I'd stay away from this one, Toyota, Honda, Chevy, Ford all make superior vehicles in this class.

I got this car about a month ago and i wasn't sure about it because i live in the mountains but iv taken it camping some light off roading and all over Colorado and its been sweet MPG is great and I'm really glad i picked this car!!!!!!!

I actually bought the 2011 version. I bought it late in the year when the 2012 had already been released, so they were trying to get rid of cars and I got a great deal. I had a 2000 Civic previously and was expecting to take a ding in fuel mileage. But the Civic was getting about 32 and the Rogue was supposed to get 28 on the highway. I've kept a log and I get almost exactly 30 MPG in the Rogue - mostly highway miles. So, even better than advertised - but less than the mpg gauge on the dash says (usually around 32, so check it). I also get comfort. The ride is nice and smooth and very quite. I plug the MP3 player into the stereo with aux jack and it's great. I have the base model. I may have liked the back-up camera, but I can live without it. Slight obstruction of view, but they put mirrors on both sides of it and I can see whatever is there. Easy access to back seats for my 2 child seats. Good storage. I was able to buy a 7 cu ft freezer and bring it home. When the rear seats are folded down there it plenty of space. I like the hidden storage beneath the floor in the back. I might like it to me a little larger, though. I really like my Rogue. I'm glad I got it.

The transmission sucks!!! Very costly to have serviced with lots of thing to be serviced. Mine makes a noise in the transmission when you drop it out of overdrive sounds like it is between two gears have to take it out of gear to make it stop. Never got more than 23 miles per gal of gas ever on a long trip by myself. I have only 35 K miles and already have started having to replace parts on this car. I have owned Honda, Mazda as well as all of the American brands and the only one that compares to this car is Chev.

I recently had to drive one while my truck was in the body shop to be repaired and the performance was not what it should be and the 2 speed gear box is very sluggish in shifting gears the ride quality very poor.. where is the 5 speed or 6 speed auto gear box for better fuel economy..the instrument cluster too much digital readouts where is the oil pressure gauge and volt gauge..the seats very uncomfortable lacks lumbar support. look at another suv like a ford or chevy my 2004 Blazer rides better and the interior is laid out better

I bought my Rogue just a few weeks ago and all I have to say is I LOVE IT! The gas mileage is fantastic, I'm averaging 25MPG with a mix of highway and intown driving. The vehicle is super comfortable for both the driver and passengers. I've had no complaints and the backseat being too small for an average size adult. The cargo area is a nice size, it's not terribly large, so I dont have to worry about packing it full of junk. The back seats and the front passenger seat all fold down, so I have plenty of room in case I need to transport anything pretty large. I love that the dash and front panel are not cluttered with unnecessary gadgets. It gives the Rogue a nice clean look. My bluetooth works great, I havent had any strange voice dialing incidents, and it's really easy to use. The USB and AUX hookups work great, they work great with my MP3 player (Sony Walkman) and are also very easy to use. What is also fantastic about this car is all of the storage space. The glove compart is HUGE. Apparently it was designed to fit a laptop and it locks, which is great. The console it pretty large too. All in all, this was a great buy and I recommend everyone interested in a cross-over to check it out.

This car is roomy and has excellent gas mileage. To help you save money it has a mpg indicator. I get 25.1 mpg on a tank of gas. The highway I have gotten 27. I was late for work and was on the NJTP going 8-. Rode smooth. I got 24.7 mpg. It drives and handles well. The car is comfy. I wanted to get a Murano. I did not see $3000 in ride and comfort between the 2. The car is roomy. I came from an Xterra, I can get a lot in the trunk if I think about it. The handsfree is cool. Just dont let yoru child use it. It now has to be retrained. THe USB interacts well with my phone mp3 player. THe instructions say that if you have Apple products you can watch videos and see album covers. They need to expand this feature to other mp3 players. I wish you could play your music through the bluetooth like other car manufactorers. I wish it had a bigger tank. But it has good range. About 350 miles to the tank. Write now I have no major complaints about the car.

Highest recommendation for Nissan Rogue! very good MPG and lots of room for logistics. I am also impressed with the accelation. Rogue Lover
