WOW !! DID NOT EXPECT IT.

Due to gas prices, i dediced to get rid of my Acura MDX. I started to research a vehilce that has good mileage, good body styling, seven seater and ride quality as it's BEST. The 2014 ROUGUE had it all and to my surprised, it has a family option for 7 seat capacity. When I test drove the vehicle, I was immediately impressive on the steering (feels like my BMW X3) not too soft or hard..just right on the spot! the car is not STIFF unlike my beemer. The ride is VERY COMFORTABLE. This vehicle beats any medium size luxury vehicle in the market (I KID YOU NOT). The only reason why i cannot 5 stars on RELIABITY is becuase its still new in the market and there are no reported recalls at this time (I hope not). I am itching to trade-in my BMW X3 2012 M-SPORT for another ROGUE but will see. I love this vehicle. I got an SV with Family and Premium package. it has all the bells and whistle including the lane departure and blind spot warning (love those features). The camera is all around view (360) wow..another outstanding feature.

One can Never-Go-Wrong with an Nissan

When test driven the Nissan Rogue it was found that the performance, the ride and style was impressive. The outside noise is a little annoying. The sound system on a standard model is yet to be desired to say the least. Nissan could have done a little better in this area. An overall thought on the Nissan Rouge is that it?s the best value for the dollar. I am pleased of the purchase.

Absolutely Love This Vehicle

We were replacing a 2005 Toyota Sienna and wanted to downsize. We considered several sedans, but decided that the compact SUV class was a better fit. Along with the Rogue, we considered the Honda CRV, the Mazda CX-5, the Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, Chevrolet Equinox, and the GMC Terrain. We eliminated the CX-5 because of rear seat comfort and stiffness of ride. We were seeking a soft quiet ride, not a sport car feel. The Terrain and the Equinox were eliminated because of a horrific blind spot right at the door pillar. This vehicle it primarily for my wife, and she could not get past the blind spot Additionally, the interior of the Equinox was not very attractive. It was easy to eliminate the Forester as the price was just too high. The RAV 4 was eliminated because I watched the video of it come apart in the small overlap collision test. . Even thought the 2014 Rogue has not been tested, we considered it foolish to purchase a known dangerous vehicle. Other than that, we liked the Rav 4. The CRV was very competitive vehicle and the Honda dealer was very aggressive with the pricing, However, in comparing the top of the line of the CRV and the Rogue (we purchased an SL fully loaded) the Rogue offered way more than the CRV. We have put 1000 miles on the vehicle so far and there have been no problems. The ride is smooth and quiet, the seating is comfortable and the styling is attractive. The driving aids (forward collision warning, lane drift, and blind spot warning) are very helpful. Additionally, the 4 cameras assist greatly with parking and aid in the overall vehicle safety. Also, the voice command works the radio, phone, and satellite navigation, allowing us to keep focused on the road all of the time. The self leveling LED headlights with foglights light up the road like it is daytime. It is hard to drive our other vehicles now, because the other headlights almost seem like they are malfunctioning. Handling is terrific. I have read the critiques of the "sluggish performance" and can understand the complaint. It is not a turbocharged Subaru. However, its performance was really no worse than any of the other vehicles in its class other than Subaru turbo and possibly the CX-5, and the fuel economy is best. Our average fuel economy has been 27 mpg, but this has been mostly short, city drives. Our dealer was great and the pricing was competitive. So far, this is a great vehicle.

A real world winner in a crowed market

We looked at upgrading from a family sedan to the new SUV crossover market to give comfort and joy to our family of 4. We needed something with good legroom in the backseats as my teenage son is a still growing 6'2" with long legs. We tested the Escape (poor rear legroom), the CR-V (no frills, old looking design and sparse interior), and the Rav 4 (very hard seats and weird dash feature), and the Rogue has them all hands down. It starts with an extremely stylish exterior that reminds you of a mini Pathfinder. The LED running lights are a nice plus as is the very wide door openings for all four doors. The inside is very comfortable and everything is where it should be. There are a ton of little holders for small items, cup holders and bottle holders in all four doors. The backup camera is a well added standard feature as is the rear cup holders (many other SUV's we looked at did not have rear cup holders). I heard a lot about the CVT transmission but its been nothing for us but a pleasure. I haven't found it loud but normal and smooth. When you travel down hills you can actually feel it engage to hold back the vehicle a touch so you don't have to ride the brakes. A true gearhead may have problems with the CVT but then again they wouldn't be looking at a Rogue. The sticker said 28/33 and we have been pretty close during our initial 2000 miles. Right now we are hovering around 31 with a decent mix of city and highway. All that plus we are comfortable on trips due to the neat and relaxing front seats and the rear seats are stadium so it offers excellent views for all passengers. If you have children and are looking t something in this market you would be foolish not to check out this SUV. For a nice price you can drive away with a very good looking machine that will be fun to drive and easy at the gas stations.

Comfy and great mpg!

Out of all the cars I test drove in this class--Subaru Forester (and I really do love a Subaru!), Honda CRV, Toyota Rav 4, and Hyundai Santa Fe, the 2014 Nissan Rogue had the best overall package, especially mpg! I got the base "S" model and it has more features than I will probably use! The seats are super comfortable, which was a must b/c this will be our family car. There is tons of leg room in the back seat, even when my 6'2" husband is driving and puts the front seat all the way back. I have had my Rogue for three weeks and here is what I would change about it: 1. I wish it had arm rests in the front seats 2. I wish the turning radius was tighter 3. I wish the back seat seatbelts were height adjustable. In all, I really like my Rogue. I downsized from a Honda Odyssey van and I still have plenty of room to haul all my stuff b/c of the cool shelving unit in the cargo area.

tech reliability

On the third day the navigation and stereo went black and would not turn on. Dealer having to order new unit. Rogue sv with premium package and panoramic roof. Like everything else about the car like everyone says. Making me really think about getting extended warranty if the tech is so unreliable.

Jazzy, Snazzy Rogue

This car has everything, from a Bose system to a gorgeous color. I love the backup camera and all the "bells and whistles". It gives a comfortable ride and has all the features any age person could want..

Just got it

Compared all the major brands in the mid/small CUV line. Bought the Rogue. For the money, couldn't do better. Yes the engine is a little underpowered, and the CVT can be noisy at high RPMS but how often do you drive like that? Feature for feature, thousands better deal than the Mazda CX-5. More comfortable seats than the CR-V. More shoulder room than the Edge. I drive an excess of 30,000 a year and this seems to be a long term comfort winner and a great value for the buck. Bought the SL, only downside is the location of the seat heater switches, That's where my wife like to put her purse.

NIce SUV

This is a nice SUV, I have purchased two vehicles in last 5 months, couple things I am disappointed with Nissan are touch screen is not there. Mileage calculation during drive and when you stop are not the same. May be I am missing some setttings but overall the best SUV. I have test drove Honda CR_V and Toyota RVA-4 this one is by far the best.
