2006 Porsche Boxster consumer reviews

I've owned 12 new cars over the past 15 years...including a new '04 Boxster...but the new '06 Boxster out performs every car I've owned! Exceptional handling, decent power, smooth ride, outstanding braking capabilities are just some of its best features. While there is limited room for my 240 lb 6.4 in body, for most people, this car would be fine. I am disapointed however, with this new BOSE sound system it has. The BOSE system in my previous Boxster was far superior. Other than that, the new '06 Boxster is a sports car for anyone who wants to be in touch with the road in a way no other car can provide. Driving anything else.....is just basic transportation!

The car has been fun to drive, reliable and understated in its appeal. My wife enjoys driving the car with the top down and her hair waving in the breeze.

External styling is great. The interior is satisfactory but not great. The interior noise is irritating especially at highway speeds, it gets downright irritating. The gear box is very notchy even after changing fluid. Gear box is finicky. Clutch paly could be shorter. Bumpy, harsh ride. Difficult to get in and out of the carl, even after adjusting seat and steering wheel. Handling, acceleration, styling are great. All great qualities are canceled by noise and increasing noise, notchy shifter and bumpy ride. Probably will trade this car soon.
