No major issues.

by Porsche Fan from on Tue Nov 11 2008

I've owned this car for 4 years and had no major issues. I did have to replace the drive shaft after 80K miles but it was covered under my extended warranty. Can't find a faster car that looks as nice inside and out as this turbo.

Owned my '03 for 11 years and it's an awesome car to this day. The body style is timeless Porsche, and the performance is every bit as good as the day I bought it. Like all Porsches, service can be expensive, so be mindful, however there are great forums of Porsche enthusiasts that help do-it-yourselfers tackle the small jobs. If you have always wanted a Porsche, but couldn't swing it due to expense or lifestyle (911's aren't a good daily driver with kids!) try a used Cayenne and you'll get a real Porsche experience.

Our Take on the 2003 Porsche Cayenne

LOWER LAKE - To some, the idea of a French restaurant in this tiny Lake County town (population 1,755) sounds as incongruous as, well, a sport-utility from Porsche.

Yet, parked on Main Street (naturally) outside of Robert's French Restaurant one day earlier this month were a half-dozen Porsche Cayenne SUVs.

Porsche purists howled at the audacity of the German sports car maker. But company executives thumbed their noses at the how-dare-yous, insisting a sport-utility was needed for Porsche to remain profitable, to remain independent, to remain relevant.

Just wait and see, those Porsche pencil-pushers cautioned, and judge us when the rubber hits the road. Then, tell us whether Porsche and SUV... Read More
