Love it!

Love that it’s a cross between a sports car & SUV. Love the huge sunroof & all the great features. Comfortable ride that hugs the road. Safety features galore & plenty of space for kids too. Only negative is that Porsches don’t have a remote start or app to start car to warm it up prior to getting in it...bummer for us Minnesotans, but I hear they are working on it.

2019 Cayenne-S power issue

I recently bought a 2019 Cayenne-S at Porsche of Bellevue about three weeks ago, after the first two week the car is died on my, cannot start, cannot open any door, everything went off/dark. I had to contact roadside assist, came to my house to jump the car, even the technician said that he’s never seen this before… I contact Porsche of Bellevue for service, they told me that it’s just the Campaign that has been sent to customers about vehicle powered up… After that, I brought the car to dealership for service, left it there for three days, they couldn’t find out what happened and couldn’t figure out what was the problem, they end up told me that because of my aftermarket cigarette car USB charger, they also told me that I need to unplug the charger every time not using the vehicle… I’ve been used the same type of USB charger on my other cars (Mercedes Benz, Acura, Toyota and Lexus), nothing ever happens… They even told me that I need to buy a high end charger that has a sleep mode or auto-discharge, this is really B/S… I told them that as my understanding, there shouldn’t be any power in the cigarette Aux plug when you turn off the car and lock it, even if you leave the charger in the plug. Power or battery power should be cut off. If one electrical wire get connected wrong, it might drain out the battery. I did regretted to purchase the 2019 Cayenne-S at Porsche of Bellevue. Would you trust the vehicle when driving far away from home..! Don’t really know when it will die on you again…! After the incident, I contacted Porsche USA customer service and they suggest me to talk to another Porsche dealership for advises… I’ve spoken to service manager/advisor at Porsche of Tacoma (Fife), they told me that there shouldn’t be any power in the cigarette Aux plug if the vehicle is working fine and correctly, that’s is a safety issue. When you turn off the engine, get out, lock the car and walk away, all used power sources should be disconnected, except dome light and interior motion sensor (if get selected to turn on). Porsche of Tacoma also suggest me to bring the car in for service department to take a look and do some tests.

Huge Improvement in New Model

The new 2019 base Cayenne is an enormous improvement over the last model. I’ve been driving a 2012 Cayenne and took the dive on the new design. The engine is waaaaay more powerful with the added turbo- drives like a totally different vehicle. Much smoother ride as well. The tech is also a huge upgrade. The last model always sounded like it was working too hard to climb up into the mountains where I live but this car sails.

The best at Integrated tech

Of all the current 2019 & 2020 SUV’s the cayenne has integrated the “glass” cockpit the best into the dash and driver functionality. Distant pacing crise is outstanding and the sport mode utilizing the paddle shifters provides great performance. 95MPH in this vehicle feels like 55.

Excellent vehicle

For a suv it rides and performs like a sports car, fun to drive. Very little cabin noise and the exterior and interior are excellent.
