The EcoDiesel is the best kept secret out there

Listen, I sold a perfectly good 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder Doible Can PreRunner to buy this truck. That alone should tell you something. I have been a huge fan of Toyota since my first car almost 40 years ago. But this 2014 Ram EcoDiesel is an absolute dream! Better ride and lower noise than our Lexus sedans. Jut as many features as well. On a 2000 mile trip from Toledo, OH to Phoenix, AZ, in a 6,000lb, 4 wheel drive truck with the air conditioning on, I averaged a honest to God, legitimate 30.1 miles per gallon!! I checked the trip computer against manual calculations the whole trip and they were the same. This was 10 mpg MORE than my 4 cylinder Tacoma! Absolutely unheard of!! Can tow up to 9,000 lbs based on which configuration you have and still maintain a high towing mpg. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop on this vehicle. There has to be a catch; but at this point, I'm convinced this is the best hidden deal on a full air truck anywhere on the market!

These trucks went downhill

I?ve always owned ram vehicles but every year they get more expensive and cheaper for example the 4wd acuater is now made out of plastic it rides on the most demanding part of a vehicle but if you drive down a bumpy road it snaps off and is not covered by the warranty even though they say it?s part of the drive train The panels are thin really thin acorns leaving sizable dents thin the used to hall my canoe on my roof so when I did that with my new truck got 2 dents on the roof deep dents over a inch when I take off at a stop light there is a good 3/4 second delay asked the dealer to fix that and they said they couldn?t shocking I?d think it was a safety issue seeing how it does the same thing when you let off which sucks when you?re uncontrollably throwing rocks behind you or are hitting the brakes of from cruise control and it?s not slowing down for 3/4 of a second the gas mileage is around 17 highway 14 city not what the sticker says

Everything I could have wanted in a work truck!

My 2014 Ram 1500 is great. It is the first truck I've ever owned, I bought it for my residential painting company as a starter work truck - and I LOVE IT. There is tons of room for equipment in the bed/backseat. Huge center console with 3 cupholders - they each hold a 32 ounce iced coffee which is awesome on long days. It's a smooth ride, comfortable, good gas mileage, 4WD, satellite radio, good sound system. I'm so happy I went with Ram for my first truck, and I can't wait to get another one!

Best vehicle I've ever owned

Optioned right, this truck was amazing as a do-everything vehicle. Best options: Rambox storage, air suspension, 3.92 gearing. Good mileage, good performance, great interior. Only wish it had adaptive cruise.

Great all around truck.

Great vehicle, easy and comfortable to drive. Options like parking sensors and backup camera made moving from the hills less of a hassle as you can get it into the cramped parking areas in the city. My only complaint is Ram(Dodge) moving to electronic...everything, which can make some repairs frustrating. Otherwise, a great truck with few drawbacks.

Could Be Better

Too many issues truck has less than 35000 miles but back up camera went out twice, 8 in display went out, the famous hemi tick ,and the clock spring what is the clock spring well if your truck have steering wheel mounted control cruise, radio, etc the clock spring is in the steering wheel the electronics is attached to this roll of tape thing as your wheel turns it unwind and wind like the movement of a clock if the clock spring goes bad you loose your horn, radio controls, cruise, etc but here is the kicker it is a $700.00 repair wow this went out at 39000 miles lol

Great truck

Very powerful and fun to drive. Comfortable and smooth riding. If you take it on the highway it actually gets really good gas mileage for a truck that type.
