Best Truck

The only issue with my new Ram 2500 Cummins, I only have 5500 miles and the tires are junk already. Not a Dodge issue. A Firestone Issue and they know it. They just replaced mine at no cost with new Destinations XT ( brand new design) will see how they wear over time

Very disappointed dodge

Has A very distinct squeal in the a.m. worse when put into gear. Dealer says nothing they can do about it. Second dealer says Chrysler cares doesn’t have an answer. I would not purchase from them again. That is Chrysler Dodge

Big Disappointment

The transmission failed in my 2018 Ram 4x4 2500 at 6200 miles. The pump went out and the internal metal wear was excessive. This was my first venture away from Ford, really doubting my decision now. At least it's still under warranty.

They dont make them like they used to

I've owned 2 2018 rams, 3 2012-2017 f350s. All diesels. I'll start this off by saying they're all excellent trucks now, they're reliable with a warranty to back it up. But, with mass production comes some simple downfalls. For example, the sun visor in my 2001 ram 2500, it has no play and is extremely sturdy. The 2018 ram 2500, has extreme amounts of play. All of the interior pieces are extremely cheaply made. Some dont even line up. However, unfortunately that's the price you have to pay for a cummins. Now, they ride very well, and handle well. The 68rfes aren't as bad as the talk says. Get a line pressure booster and call it a day. Another huge thing. Power stroke and duramax are both v8s. The cummins is an inline 6. It will never feel as "sporty" as it has a better compression ratio in comparison to both its competitors. I feel in my heart that it is a more overall reliable vehicle than both the stroke and the max. I just wish they made them a little bit better on the interior.

MPG - Diesel

When looking to purchase my 2500 Laramie HD, crew cab, 6.4 bed the MPG figures were impossible to find since its publication is not required. I've had my vehicle since Feb 2019 (2018 model) The dealers (5 of them) told me that "automatics are better than before" & "you'll get better MPG than a manual transmission, you have 2 more gears". Frankly,I need/ want the control and feel for the road/ off-road afforded by a stick so I took a leap of faith and purchased the manual transmission model anyway. OK now for some real world results, I think these will astonish you-- I know I was pleasantly surprised. After buying the vehicle I had buyers remorse and thought my cost to run the vehicle would be excessive so I made a point of speaking to any and every owner of a RAM 2500 2018s &19s I could find, I've probably spoken with over 50, almost all had automatics they all had the same MPG range --average of 12.6- 16 mpg unloaded. I can report that I average MPG (includes city and highway) 19.5 MPG- 21.5 MPG Note:the new manual transmissions are super easy to drive and you cant beat that fuel efficiency which I calculate to be about 25% better per gallon and that cannot be dismissed - I hope this helps as you look for your new vehicle! Good Luck! PS: initially it helped using the mpg monitor on the instrument panel until I was able to get in sync with the vehicle performance / shifting characteristics

Great truck for towing. More than enough power.

This truck meets all my needs, and came at a very affordable price. I am more than pleased with the Cummins. I also like the rear coils they make the ride much more comfortable.
