My 3rd dodge... Dakota first,then 2 rams
I love these trucks. I started off as a carpenter and was great for hauling all my tools n golf clubs. Great for work n pleasure. Then i started my own business and graduated from the dakota to the Ram 1500... That lasted me 16 years and 235k miles. Great truck, lots of memories. Now i graduated to the 2500 Laramie 8' bed... Once i decked it out with a cap n racks and pullout cargo slide... What a machine... My 6.4 liter is getting better gas mileage than my previous 5.9 liter. RAM FOR LIFER.

2018 Ram 2500 crew cab 4x4 diesel
This is the finest truck I have ever driven. More power than I will ever need, dodge hit it out of the park with this one. I shopped and researched a long time before buying this exact truck.

Great tow vehicle
Got this to replace a 1/2ton truck as a tow vehicle. This is a beast. It will tow anything comfortably. The diesel is great! No trouble getting up hills and no drama coming down hills. Engine brake is flawless: even with a 8000lb trailer I didn’t touch the brakes going through the Appalachian mountains.

Most reliable vehicles I’ve ever owned
This is my 5th ram I have owned and always been very happy with them. I have had other brands but Dodge Ram always work the best for me. I would highly recommend one.

Most fuel efficient truck I have ever owned
I sold my 2013 Ford F150 XLT 3.5L Ecoboost and purchased a 2018 Ram 2500 Laramie with the Cummins Diesel and thus far have zero regrets. Besides the ram being a larger vehicle it actually gets significantly better gas mileage than my ecoboost ever did. I average 16mpg with mostly city driving in an extremely cold climate. The Ford would float between 13.5 and 14.5 mpg. The interior of the Ram is luxurious and cost efficient in comparison to the Ford Lariat trims. I was able to purchase, new, the Ram for nearly 20k cheaper than the F250 Lariat and slightly cheaper than a F150 Lariat. Overall my dollar went much further with Ram and I feel like I drive a luxury vehicle and not a heavy duty pick up truck.

Nice truck, plenty of power
I upgraded to this rig from a 2015 RAM Tradesman to tow a 5th wheel because my job is moving 130 miles away and the 2015 wouldn't quite tow a 10,000lb trailer. So far it has been reliable, comfortable, fit and finish is on par or better than Ford and Chevy.

Challenge is true value vs final cost
It's very hard to justify the final cost of any new vehicle when the actual value is less than 2/3 before leaving showroom floor. Since the 1950s to present the value started out greater than the final cost until Jimmy Carter administration which caused the current decline.

A real truck
Mine is the 6.4 gasoline version. I only have three complaints: 1.) The price on a truck is just too much! When a vehicle costs more than a house...this should be considered a problem. Sure...I want to be rich too but for crying out loud.... 2.) This thing likes fuel. A LOT of it too. I hate feeding it. BUT....I didn?t buy a 2500 expecting good fuel economy so this is just me whining. 3.) Uconnect has been something I have bragged about for years. Dodge switched the supplier around 2017. They need to fire this supplier and go back to the old one. Period. You guys successfully took something I loved about Mopar and turned it into something that caused me to have to bring it up in this review. FIRE THEM AND FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! Otherwise, there is nothing I don?t like about this beast of a machine. Drives, runs, and looks like a truck should. I shopped all brands prior to purchase and Ram won.
