2006 Saturn Ion consumer reviews

Bought as a inexpensive replacement when my car got totaled. Was 3 years old with 38*** miles. That was nine years ago and now it has over 200K on it. Best car I have ever owned as far as reliability, never a major problem. Still gets 35MPG ON the road. On a mission now to see how far it will go.

Bought new in 2006. Today is the summer of 2018, and 94,500 she is still a joy to drive. GM had a winner with this car. Shame they no longer make.

My 2006 Ion has 211000 miles on it.Replaced a few things but I'm still happy with it.It has no rust no dents its just a great little car.I would recommend it to anyone

This is my second Saturn, the only reason it is my second is my ex took my first one. There is no better design for my needs, it gets excellent gas mileage, eats up mountain terrain, which is surprising for its 2.2l engine. The offset console for safer visuals of all pane!s and battery in trunk to prevent corrosion are genius! I like that it is a standard transaxle and no extras like power winfows which are a pain if they break down. It is ten years old, has had 3 recalls on parts, all repaired free and before they became a serious problem. Oyher than wear and tear parts repair it has been bar none for performance and reliability!

This car meet all of my needs, never had any issues. I love saturns! Super reliable and excellent on gas! Interior was nice, sleek and comfortable.

Love this car! It has only been good to our family. When I bought myself a newer car this year I simply could not trade it in. Passed it on to my 17 year old daughter and I feel safe knowing she is in reliable transportation.

We bought this vehicle for my daughter when she obtained her driver's license! It is a beast! This was the worst weather on record for us, and she had no problems getting around.

Im very happy with the quality of the car. The engine has 11500k miles and the oil still looks like honey. I have used synthetic oil from the start. Ive maintained it to schedule for the most part. I had to replace the ignition once and im going to have another replacement soon. That seems to be an inherent problem with ions. The car serves me well and i hope it will last me 10 more years.

The Saturn had a good car. It was reliable and needed few repairs throughout the years. I would say Saturn's are great cars. I had this car for about ten years and it was a great car to own.

This car has been so reliable and trustworthy! I would buy another Saturn in a second. This car feels so safe and hasn't given us any trouble! I am very picky in cars and if I don't feel safe I won't drive them. I would drive this Saturn anywhere and have driven it from St Louis to Kansas City a few times. It's a pretty attractive little car too and very cozy. It has a few little things that aren't perfect; the cruise control stopped working around 110,000 miles, the mirrors won't adjust electronically currently, and there's cold air(winter) that blows at the front passenger through the glove box. But those things don't bother me so I haven't cared to fix them. It bums me out that no more Saturns are being reproduced because I would buy them for years to come.
