Great Used Vehicle
I bought a 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual transmission Vue recently as my first Saturn. So far, the car runs excellent. The only flaw thus far is that the back driver-side window sticks a bit, but the dealership is going to repair it. Otherwise, very solid vehicle and a smooth ride. I'm enjoying it! The one thing I would have liked more of is storage space toward the front of the vehicle. I like to keep extra books, notebook, bank envelopes, CDs and other stuff up there, but there's a small center console and a small door basket. So, I've been forced to reduce what is in reach. Also, if you're not used to trucks or heavier vehicles, you may notice some road noise when driving at higher speeds. It doesn't bother me much, since I'm usually listening to the radio and am used to louder trucks anyway. We bought this vehicle because we're expecting our first child and needed easy access to get the baby in an out, in addition to having haul space for strollers, playpens and the like. The Vue is perfect for that! Definitely a family-oriented vehicle.

It will surprise you
I have an 05 Vue V6 with 85000 miles and only routine maintenance on it. Have driven it all over the country and only had a battery failed on me during my travels. It surprised me! The Vue V6 is a Reliable auto. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a good gas mileage auto and nice to travel in. Would take it over my 4runner any day, on a trip.

Most reliable / lowest maintenance car ever owned.
Bought new in Danbury, Connecticut. Tires lasted 45,000 to 50,000 mile before replacement. Changed oil and filter and that's about all. Rotors last about 40,000 miles before resurfacing due to hilly terrain. Amazing low maintenance cost. Vehicle gets 27-29 mpg on highway even after 100,000 miles. Replacable Cabin filter does an amazing job of keeping interior air clean. Not many cars have this feature. 5 speed is very peppy and this Vue handles like a sports car in the curves. Fold down seats make this vehicle very versatile. Fold down the front passenger seat and load 10' cargo. The front wheel drive makes this SUV very stable in slippery weather. Made it through many winter storms.

Best Car I've Owned
Had this car for two years. It's great! No problems, just change oil and drive. I just have to try and keep my wife away from it. The sound system is great.

Once I changed the Tires....
I purchased my '05 Vue back in May of this year, and I was overall impressed. I'm most impressed so far with the Gas Mileage with the V6 Engine, beating the Gas mileage i was getting with my '01 PT Cruiser (Not knocking the Cruiser, though). It does well on my daily commute to and from Illinois daily (I'm from Indiana). I didn't like how it handled in the rain (at first) with the Dueler Tires. I switched them to a slightly taller BF Goodrich Traction T/A. Now, not only is the ride more quiet, but a WHOLE lot smoother and a lot more stable. I do recommend the '05 V6 FWD Vue to anyone in need of Space, and Economy.

An Average Vehicle
Have owned my 2005 Vue (5spd manual/4cyl) from brand new (October 2004). Ventilation and air flow is poorly designed for winter weather - the side windows ice up if the weather is below -15C (The air flow to the side windows is blocked by the door panels). Visibility is restricted by the thick pillars and (to the rear) by the sun-blocker-tinting. The tinting is nice when it's bright out, but difficult to see out the rear when it's dusk or dark. Performance: excellent. This is one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. No road noise. Interior: Agree with "Engineer", the interior is cheap, cheap, cheap. But adequate. You get what you pay for.

Great Honda engine wrapped in cheap plastic
Have owned this car from brand new for two years and 24,000 miles of easy on-road driving. Had to replace front struts at 19,000, rear wheel bearing at 23,000. BF Goodrich Dueler H/T tires have worn out in 24000 miles after being rotated every 3000 miles at oil change. Then come to find the 17" wheel "upgrade" is a way oddball size 235 60 R17 that hardly anyone makes and a set of new Dueler H/T tires, which are garbage, will cost almost $650 to replace, the only other tire made this size is a Michilen which a set of 4 will run close to $800!! The electic steering is awful, and makes the tires wear out way too fast, these are supposed to be 60,000 mile tires! Thought about selling the darn thing before putting tires on it but find that the resale value for it with 24000 miles is only about $12,000! If it were a 2005 comparable Toyota Rav 4, the resale would be close to $18000!!! The Honda engine was the selling point and really runs well and is great power for the vehicle, but the vehicle itself is a cheaply built, cheaply put together plasticy, uncomfortable, noisy piece of junk. I have looked at the 2008 model VUEs, which are upgraded,(and metal) but it is still a piece of junk Saturn. Do yourself a big favor and buy a Honda or a Toyota!!
