Worst car I've ever drove in my life!!!
I drove the "new Vue" & got just that. I didn't think Saturn could have built a bigger pile than the old Vue untill I drove a 2008,they said "its just like the Equinox, only better"... HA I would rather drive a Pinto!

I Love my 2008 Saturn Vue XR
I have driven this Saturn for 6 mos. This is our 3rd Saturn - 1996 SL1 which we gave away - 2003 ION 2 (we still drive) It handles the turns better than I expected. I don't end up in the oncoming lanes. It has great pickup. I have to keep watching the speedometer so I don't go over the speed limit. The seating is very comfortable. Love the Onstar. The seats are very easy to pull down. I was happy to read all the good reviews from several sources. It made driving the Missouri winter weather driving conditions a lot less stressful. The drawer under the passenger seat is really handy to store stuff. The power seats, the stabili-trak, 6 airbags are worth every penny. When you close the door, it sounds solid. Road noise, rough roads are almost nonexistent driving the Vue. The gas mileage may not be great but it sure is fun driving between fill-ups.

nice suv for the money
I bought the xe v6 awd, I have owned it for about two months now. What I like about this car is the performance and handling of the vehicle, expecially uphills. Its pretty roomy inside for the size. Im 6'6 and actually im pretty comfortable driving it. What i dont like about this car is the seats. the head rest are shaped weird where your head doesn''t even touch it, and the seats are just not comfortable, feels very stiff. Maybe overtime the seats will loosen up. The other thing i dont like about this vehicle is the cupholders. Its a poor design .

What a Fun Vehicle-2008 Saturn Vue XR
We did alot of research before we made our purchase of the 2008 Saturn Vue. Originally we were leaning towards a Ford Escape until I starting reading reviews about the rear braking system problems. The other issue was finding a vehicle made in our grand old USA. Good luck. While the Escape and the Nissan Xterra are made in the USA they were not what we were hoping for. We test drove the Xterra and it was great in the front portion of the vehicle. It was a nice ride too but it is difficult to get in and out of the back seat due to the positioning of the rear wheel well. Almost impossible for children. Big let down. We also drove the Rogue. Very nice vehicle but I do not like the look of it. After reading customer and expert reviews of the Saturn Vue I knew we had to check it out. Even though it is made in Mexico, it is assembled in USA. The Vue has a different look, I will give it that and wasn't sure if I liked it or not but we decided this is the vehicle to buy. The safety features are unbelieveable and very impressive. This obviously made us feel happy. I wasn't sure about the seating comfort but once I started adjusting the many adjustment features I fell in love. We chose the V6 and we are glad we did. The XR had alot of pep and can really get moving. I was very surprised. I have only been driving it for 12 days and I am SOOOOOO happy with our choice. I was worried that my hubby would not be comfortable (6'4") but he said it is actually comfortable. I am still finding little nooks and cranys to store things. The glove box is large. I didn't want to drive a large SUV especially since parking spaces seem to be increasingly shrinking. This is the perfect size vehicle for a small family. We have not tried to fit 5 people in it but it would be a bit cozy. The more I drive this vehicle the more I fall in love with it. In fact on the way home from work yesterday, I didn't want to go home. The XR version is pretty well loaded and you get alot for your money. One year free OnStar and 3 months of XM Radio is also a great selling point because we will keep the OnStar which also has a navigation and handless phone option. Check with your cell provider to see about a cheaper rate. Saturn does not like to negotiate the price of their vehicles so be warned when you go to the dealership.

I din't start out to buy a Saturn
After more than a decade with a Jeep Grand Cherokee (good vehicle that served me well), I finally got the chance to go new car shopping. Much had changed in those ten years and now I could start looking at BMW, Acura, Infiniti and Lexus. Paying more than $40K for a car took a little getting used to, but I thought it was time to reap the rewards of hard work. I looked at a ton of nice vehicles and during more than a dozen test drives, I learned what I liked and what I didn't like in the new cars. I've come to the realization that I'm not an off-roader, even though I like the higher ride and traction of SUVs. I ruled out truck-type SUVs early. They?re nice, but there's no reason to live with the disadvantages. After many test drives, I found that there was no SUV that performed on the road like the Infiniti EX-35. It drove like a sports car, but, alas, it was. It was just too small for my purposes and the FX-35 just didn't feel the same, and was well past $45K with a NAV system. I thought maybe I could find some Infiniti in the new 2009 Nissan Murano, and I did. Unfortunately, it was more FX-35 (no surprise) than EX-35. Still, it was a great vehicle and you could sneak in a NAV system (and all they bundle with it) and escape for just under $40K (maybe). It rose to the top of my list. Fortunately, I had time to finish my "to-drive" list and stopped by Saturn to drive the Vue so I could cross it off my list with a clean conscience. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. I had driven the EX-35 for the second time early that morning (hoping it had grown since the first time - it didn't) so it's feel was still fresh in my mind. Believe it or not, the Vue handled more like that little AWD sports car, than any of the more than a dozen SUVs I'd tested. It had smooth power (I?d learned I don't like turbo-lag) and plenty of it. The handling was solid and precise. I was quite pleasantly surprised. It looked great - although not as slick as some that lived on the other side of the $40K tracks. Then I began to add up the cost of all the options I wanted and finally got back in touch with my middle-class upbringing. I could tell the salesman to "give me everything you got" and save enough to pay a college tuition bill! Oh yeah, there was one option that was missing: ?Impress superficial neighbors?$10,000.? I guess I can continue to live without that one.

Traded in my Honda CRV for my new 2008 Vue XR!
I've owned a CRV for 8 years. They've been good, reliable transportation that were well equipped and fun to drive. When I went to Honda to look at a new CRV I was VERY disappointed. The changes that have been made make zero sense to me (I'm sure that they do for others as the CRV still sells) and I was completely turned off by nearly every change. I looked at the Kia, Toyota, and Ford options but when I saw the Vue and drove it I was sold. Better interior than most of the others (although remote hatch and gas releases would be nice) and a MUCH more attractive exterior are part of it but the handling was better and I felt the engine was more responsive than in any of the alternatives. The seats are very comfortable and maximally adjustable for my 6'3" size. Integrated XM and OnStar are real bonuses that I am only now realizing are worth every penny. The no haggle, no pressure process was a REAL relief from what I went through with the deception and games at the Kia and Toyota dealerships. I couldn't even get a brochure at the Toyota dealership without giving them all my information!?! yet at the Saturn dealership I got every question answered without anything but a first name. Purchase was equally game-free (again). If the Vue holds up like my wifes old Saturn SL2 did (10 years - 1 major repair) then it will be among the best choices available overall. Love the new Styling.

Surprisingly stylish and satisfying
First, I never bother to write these reviews. I have had such a surprisingly great experience with this car though that I'd like to share... Never before had I even walked onto a Saturn lot or sat in one of their vehicles. Yet recently I found myself looking at all options for a new crossover/SUV. I drove the CRV, the RAV4, the Mazda CX7, Ford Edge, Nissan Rogue, Mazda Tribute, Honda Pilot. The 2008 VUE was the only one that I found fit all of my qualifications. It's definitely the most stylish, the seating the most comfortable and the overall interior the highest looking quality. Plus with the V6 it beat out the CRV which only comes in a 4Liter. It beats the CX7 and Rogue on space...the front seats of those cars feel very small. And its features are sleek...unlike the antiquated Honda Pilot with its gear shift or the Mazda Tribute with the shiny plastic interior. Not only is the VUE fantastic, but I have never had a better experience buying my car. The dealership worked with me, gave me the best trade-in value on my old car of over 10 dealerships I talked to, and before I committed to buy the car even parked it around back the day I was planning to look at it again so it would be there when I arrived. Their finance person made everything very simple to finalize quickly. I walked away feeling I got a fantastic deal on an amazing new car. I am now a Saturn fan...and owner.

1st Four Banger and 4-door SUV I have Owned...
For the past couple of weeks I have been searching for a compact SUV. I test drove the 2008 players: RAV4, CRV, Escape and the VUE. As for the Honda...I didn't at all like the one position front seating. Nor the auto shifter in the dashboard...that's weak! The RAV4 was a leading contender...but the brake pedal to me seemed soft...and that spare tire on the back...with a swinging back door...did not blow my skirt up either! :) WOW! The newly badged Saturn Vue or aka Opel from Europe...was a blast. Yeah, I know! It weighs a little more than the other pack leaders I test drove...but at least now it doesn't have a gian hunk of plastic...and is built with steel. With all of the safety equipment now installed on the Vue...it is a very tidy little package. The only little gripe I have about the Vue...are that the cup holders between the front seats are a little bit low. Other than that...this rig freaking ROCKS! The MPG's are very close to the RAV4 and CRV coming in at 26/19 respectively. Right now until 1/2/08 GM gives $2,000 off and if you are a Costco member an additional $500. The 169hp in line four cylinder is very peppy and I had it on the freeway doing 80mph easily. The instrument panel is easy to read and the seats are comfortable and fully adjustable. Including up and down...front to back...and also a lunbar support. Oh BYW, the brake pedal on the Vue was perfect. This vehicle is very smooth handling and a pleasure to drive. I'll tell yuns what! You cannot buy a better rig for the money...END OF STORY.

Fun to drive and super stylish and sporty
My Saturn Vue is my first SUV. I absolutely love it. I was looking for an SUV that is super stylish, fun to drive, and practical. With my new Saturn Vue, with 4WD, I found all of that. The handling is great, the interior has lots of extras, and the car is so fun to drive and comfortable. The fits and finish are all excellent and the cars looks are sylish and sporty. I have the leather heated seats, which are great if you live in a cold climate. The car handles very well, it is easy to park and maneauver and you feel very safe and confident with the many safety features and the AWD. I don't usually take time to write up reviews, but I am so pleased with my Saturn that I thought I'd share my thoughts. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for an SUV, you test drive the new Saturn Vue.
