Best Car!
I have had four new cars in four years 07 civic 08 Scion xB 10 Toyota Corolla and now the 11' Scion tC and by far this is my favorite of them all it drives great and im averaging about 24 mpg more room in the back then expected and the sound system is great, the 6 speed man. is great! how many cars are there out there can you find with as much value you get for the $$$$$ "Now tell me this... WHAT COMPETITION? The Honda Civic coupe you're going to get at $19,000 is NOT an SI but an LX. It's slower, handles worse and doesn't have near the "tech" equipment this tC has. Altima coupe? Sorry, it costs MORE. Cobalt coupe? Don't make me laugh. The SS? Ooops, it's $6,000 more. Focus coupe? Not even close. Genesis coupe, $5,000 more. Kia Forte - similar price but smaller rims and SLOWER than the tC" - douggdangger ^^^^ is from a different review i have read and it is 100% true

High Maintenance Costs
I purchased a new Scion tC in 2008. I previously owned other Toyotas and had high expectations for this sporty Scion. After 3 years, I feel anyone thinking of buying a Scion tC needs to know what they are in for. I drive 80 miles each day for my commute to and from my job. Most of my commute is on rural roads and in all types of weather. I am a stickler for regular maintenance and as such, I expect my vehicle to be dependable. Well, in the 67,000 miles on my Scion, I have had to replace the tires 3 times due to tread wear.I have tried 3 different recommended, high quality brands of tires from several sources, including the dealer. I now budget for new tires every year. Today, I learned my water pump is going up. The repair shop (dealer) said the pump would usually last to 90,000 miles--that's 23,000 miles early! I am very disappointed in the quality of this vehicle. Be forewarned, if you are considering buying a tC, make sure you have a high vehicle maintenance budget!

Great car even better price
I picked up my new Scion this past weekend and I have to say I?m quiet happy with my purchase. I opted with the TRD exhaust which sounds great with the still OEM sound (ex: not a coffee can on a muffler), the Alpine stereo and the floor mats, because for some dumb reason the car doesn't come with them. I was in-between the Hyundai Genesis or the Scion Tc and before this I was driving a 04' Hyundai Tiburon, so when I chose to go with the Scion I surprised my self. The Scion its self is a solid car, it really was to "feminine" for me in its previous model so going with the newest one was risking the "wow" factor we are all looking for in a car. However the new model defiantly steps it up, let me be the first to give the radio a rating since NO ONE seems to rate the sound system. I upgraded to the 330 Watt Alpine system and OMFG does it put out. People have mentioned it destroys highs and mids and with the base blasting and the ipod setting on Bass Boost it will indeed. But with the ipod cord and turning down the Bass from its max level it is an amazing sound system. Radio, CD, Ipod or Aux it puts out. The get up and go of the car wasn?t my main focus since I'm driving it on crowded Boston Streets, but it does put out. Not as much as my previous V6 but the Scion engine is 8HP more then the Tiburon V6 so it balances out to about the same acceleration. I love the handling, the steering and the suspension of the Scion since my Tiburon was the kind of car that would pull the wheel from your hands if you hit a bump. This car is very stable and not a roadster, so if your looking for GT like handling and acceleration, try the Genesis. If you?re looking for a spacious car with an amazing audio package, decent acceleration, good handling capabilities and most importantly a good financing rate with the extras you want to with the Scion Tc. The genesis base model will still be 22 thousand with out anything else including a V6 engine and a sound system of any kind. So if your gonna spend the money go with a decked out Scion versus a stock Genesis.

Love this thing
I owned the 05 and loved it. Waited for the 2011 and the redesign to get a new one. The 2011 cons: missing coin holder, no outside temp, no auto turn off on headlights, no rear cargo cover and it only comes with one backup light. Pros: looks great, drives great, rides great. Can't beat it for the price. Pros far out weigh the cons.

More Fun Than Expected
My tC is a nice little car. It is fun to drive, nice ride. It gets up to freeway speed safely, and without any trouble. The double moon roof is neat for midnight drives. Plus, it handles great, the traction control came in handy in the recent snow. The basic radio is pretty good, though an upgrade may be in order in the future. I drove U.S. 129 in NC. Known as the "Tail Of The Dragon", it was the fastest I ever made the eleven mile run, so much fun, I did about eight runs.
