Can't go wrong!

This car is the best of all worlds. It has plenty of room for me and my family as well as lots of trunk space for all our goodies. The awd is amazing and definitely a great feature living in the mountains. Never get stuck again. To top it all off it is turbo so it is very fun.

Good enough for a daily driver

I've owned this car for the past year and purchased it brand new. Overall I'm satisfied with the vehicle, however I suggest you do some research before buying it. Drive it on the highway above 60 mph to experience EXTREME wind noise. If you're looking for a performance car, that's great! But don't expect to win any races. Not even against a stock 2017 Audi A4. Otherwise its a fun daily drive to work and back.

There is nothing more fun and reliable

There is nothing that combines reliability, affordability, and fun better than a Subaru WRX. Coupled with the 6-six gear close ratio gear box and the 2.0 liter turbocharged flat four, the Subaru WRX has more than enough power and is plenty of fun barreling down your favorite b-roads. This cars' stiff suspension and symmetrical all wheel drive give the WRX plenty of traction and grip in tight turns. This car does not launch all that well off the line but the boost feels best when you gradually accelerate to 2,000 RPM then give it more gas to feel peak boost. The WRX gets mediocre gas millage (24 combined over 1 year which was mainly city) but we aren't driving this car for millage. All in all, Subaru has done it again!

Made the teen son happy

Great performance on the road, power kicks in when needed. Love the 6 speed manual and the knowledge that it is AWD. Looks pretty good as well. Only complaint is that the leather seats are still too firm but hopefully will soften with time

Nice Car.

I've had my WRX for over a year an have almost 27,000 miles on it. I take this car on a 2400 mile, round trip, twice a year to see my family. Rides nice, plenty of room the fuel milage is great. I average 31 on trips and 29-30 on my normal work week. I think the interior could use to have some mild refinements but overall it's a good car.

Surprisingly good CVT

Owned the manual and CVT versions of the 2017 WRX. CVT was a lot better than expected. Had the feeling of a manual upon acceleration, without having to clutch and change gears. Engine braking on a downshift was modest but smooth. Ideally, would have liked a bit more engine braking on a downshift with the paddle. The manual version would run out of power at the higher end of the rpm band, with a very noticeable loss in "pull". The clutch too wasn't very good. The interior on the limited was good, and the premium was not. The sound system in the premium was perhaps the worst I'd come across in any car. The limited with the Harman Kardon was just the opposite. It sounded great. All in all I felt the car was good, had good grip and handling, some body-roll and was hugely underpowered for my taste. Real world combined mpg in my case with city and some hwy driving was 19.5 mpg.

GREAT car with a few faults.

Great car. Great performance. Wonderful to drive. Very reliable. If you do your own oil changes the oil filter is on top of the engine and super easy to get to , I wish all manufacturers did this. Couple of faults, the throttle response is a bit questionable. The amount of throttle your foot gives doesn't always apply to how much power the engine is actually making. You can learn to drive through that or have it tuned to drive smoothly. the dashboard gauges are nice looking but nothing is very intuitive, it takes a second to look at it before you see what you're actually looking for. Arm rest (even the optional extension) is way to low and far back to use.

A sportscar with all wheel drive

I looked at a Nissan 370 Z Nismo but the WRX is a much better car for me in the Northeast. The car handles beautifully and is very stylish. With Subaru's reliability it was an easy choice. I have a Nissan Rogue that my wife drives. The WRX is my car with the 6 speed manual .
