Love-Hate relationship
I bought my Verona brand spanking new in 2005, I love driving this car, handles wonderful, glides over bumpy and curvy roads, Visibility out the windshield on both sides, front and back, is very good. The window post, and door-frames are not positioned or so wide that an oncoming car could hind behind them. The interior is very roomy.. even the backseat leg room is accommodating. The trunk is spacious. This car never fails to crank, regardless of the weather. With that being said. However, after about a month or two of buying my wonderful car. It became a headache. I was constantly at the dealership garage. when I crank it, the engine would rev up to 3 or 4 thousand rpms, and stay there. (People would look over at you, like you were crazy) even a quick tap on the excelerator, didn’t help. After pulling down in to drive, rpm lower a little, but as soon as your foot came off the break, it jerks, an takes off by it self. No gas needed. Finally, she’ll settle down and drive beautiful. First, mechanic worked on it. Advised fill-up with high-test only, use same brand of gas. They changed the gas cap. Changed oxygen sensor, The engine light is always coming ON and OFF. Mostly“ON”. They installed a new engine control module, idle arm idle air control valve. Nothing worked. And You never knew when the motor would rev up, or stall out. At red lights you always kept your foot tightly on the break, cause, all of a sudden, the engine will rev-up to 3 thousand rpm, and jerk forward. At Any second it is possible the car could jump forward into the car in front or worse into traffic. At a stop sign there’s always a good chance, she’ll hesitate or stall out in front of oncoming traffic. And cause a wreck. This car sat in garage at the dealership as much as it did at home. The supervisor at the dealership said his best Mechanics have worked on this car with no luck in finding the problem. They are are at a lost as to how to fix the problem, their giving up. Tell me they, Hate to see me coming! 1. Irregular idle speed 2. Check Engine Light comes on 3. Engine stalling 4. Passenger side air bag light always on 5. Tire pressure light always on 6. Trunk latch broke When this car is running right, it a dream to drive. However, It’s a ticking time bomb. Just waiting to kill the driver or someone else. We have parked this car. It will be scraped or sold parts. But not sold as a car to be driven. The car is unsafe. Bottom Line : THE CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE! STEPHEN KING HAS NOTHING ON THIS CAR!

Awesome car so far, light upgrades!!
I had had ended up with the vehicle spontaneously. My roommates and I had bought the car for a reasonable price and I had done the major upgrades. The car starts right up, drives nice and lots of room. **Will be a great driving car for a many more years with normal maintenance.

ready to blow this car up....
I got my Suzuki Verona used from a small dealership. It happened to be the owners daughters old car. About six months after purchasing it the car started to hesitate taking off. I had to have the control arm, oxygen sensor and gas cap replaced in less then a year. It ran well for about a month. It started doing the same thing again only it has gotten a lot worse. This car will rev up its rpms but will not take off right away. When it does take off it jerks like its not in the right gear. It jerks whe you're driving it until you hit over 40 mph. It will also stall sometimes at red lights or when you're turning a corner. I have also had all six coil packs replaced and a wheelbearing. This car is extremely hard to find parts for and when you do it is very expensive. I don't think this car is ever going to run right. I am about done with dumpung money into it. It's nothing but a headache. I regret the day I test drove it with a passion. The check engine light is constantly on and air bag light will co e o and go off but no garage can figure out what is exatly wrong with it. They just want to guess and keep trying things that don't work but take my money. I do not feel safe driving this car with my newborn son in it. Nothing but a lemon

Good solid performance
I've got 22,000 on my Verona, and haven't had any problems. Power is sufficient and I'm getting near 30 mpg on the highway.
