Amazing car, and wow the performance and software

This car is beyond amazing. I know a few Tesla owners with 120k miles and the only thing they changed was tires. No maintenance necessary. It's rated the #1 safest car in the world by US and European safety scores - it can literally fall off a cliff and a whole family will survive. It has the best autopilot for the highway, It has a seriously amazing 600 watt sound system with subwoofer, it has the ability to auto-summon and drive itself to you in parking lots, it has Netflix, Youtube, Disney and video games to watch and play on the beautiful 15-inch touchscreen. It has the best phone app, able to control the vehicle remotely and see its location, its supercharger network is by far the best in the world, its performance and 0-60 time is insane, its the only vehicle with voice commands, it has the most roomy interior, it has a 7-seater option, it's the only vehicle with sentry mode which records video around the vehicle to act as the ultimate security system, it alerts your phone when there is a break-in or the alarm is going off, you can change the climate, roll down the windows, activate dog mode, camp mode, let someone temporarily drive the car, all from the app. It also saves between $200-500 per month on gas, so in 10 years you could literally see savings of 50k, depending on how much you drive. It's also an American car company so we should all be very supportive of Tesla.

Scary to Drive

I find the car scary to drive. I have experienced the sudden "phantom braking", which I had never even heard of before googling it, a bunch of times. It seems to be particularly bad passing under bridges and when I drove a road near my house with shadows from tall pine trees. Cars have almost rear ended me, most recently the pickup behind me same to a screeching, skidding halt inches from my bumper. It's impossible to rate this car highly in anything when it feels like it's trying to kill you constantly.

2 major problems in 10 days.

Very recently took delivery of a 2023 Model Y LR with the new price drop, based on all the positive things I read on Facebook, and I have to say I regret it. I had problems out of the gate with a loud rattle coming from the front suspension, went right back to the delivery center, only to have them tell me I have to schedule via the app and they're too busy. So I do that, but my service is scheduled another 2 weeks out. In the interim, with me driving around with the suspension clunk, the center screen, which is the only interface with the car, randomly crashes and goes completely black. So that's another problem for them to look into, but I'm afraid to drive the car. Can't believe I've walked into this $55,000 lemon and the service is so bad.
