I bought my new bz on November 23 2025.

I bought my new bz on November 23 2025. I was told that the power charger lid open only when doors are unlocked. But when I took my car to the car wash the lid opened by itself i noticed that the door was unlocked I thought that’s why. The second time I made sure the doors was locked. But open again. I took the car to the dealer for fist service I told them they kept my car for almost all day after that the said that the power port lid didn’t lock at all. I ask them to fix it once it opens with little pressure. But at the dealer service they said that was normal. I contacted Toyota the person there agreed with me that it was a design issue. But is not solution available. Now that said they going to try to purchase back my car.

Toyota decided to get serious with their electric compact

Toyota decided to get serious with their electric compact suv over their earlier version. Lowered the price making it competitive with all others in this class. Also making it now competitive is the increase in driving range, the XLE AWD model gets a significant boost with a 288 mile range. In addition the horsepower on the XLE AWD increased to 338 providing 0-60 in the middle 4 second range… that’s head snapping power. Also, major improvements were addressed to the charging system… now able to charge significantly faster and it comes using the NACS (North American Charging Standard) outlet connection for faster charging ( (originally called the Tesla charging connection). I personally enjoy driving the bZ around town but also on major roads. It runs quietly as an electric should but also isolates road noise. The instrument panel is different but coming from driving my plug in hybrid Prius Prime I’m used to different. I trust Toyota overall quality over all other manufacturers whether the vehicle is a traditional combustible gas engine or now electric.

Just had the car for a month.

Just had the car for a month. It's much like its predecessor, the bz4x but gets better range, at 90% from 230 to 275. It rides smoothly and a bit less noisy than the 4x. I'm very happy with it.
