Good New Car

We purchased a new 2011 Camry in December, and so far we're very happy with it. It is still new and only has about 2,000 miles on it, but it has been a good car and we're getting close to 30 mpg out of it. It's comfortable inside and is a nice step up from the Corolla, it's definitely worth the extra money for a family car, although if you just want something to run back and forth to work with, the Corolla would probably do just fine. It's very roomy in the back seat as well, we have a baby and putting the car seat in is no problem.

Where is the fun?

We got a fair deal on the 2011 Camry LE. Would have been better without the $1,000 dealer fee and the Toyo Guard they make you purchase in Florida. The problem with the Camry is that it is not fun. Reminds me of the old American big cars. Big, but that is all. Feels like you could lose control if go around a corner too fast. The 6 speed transmission seems to always hunt for the right gear. Very un-Toyota like. My wife had a 1993 Camry and wanted to go back to that 'smooth' feeling. If you like smooth, buy the Camry, if you want something fun, buy something else.

I luv my silver Faith.

I had a VW Jetta for 10 years and it broke down on me at the last minute and I had to get a car like yesterday because I travel alot. I went looking and I test drove a number of cars and I have to say I love the Camry. I just got it about a week ago and sometimes I go other places just so I can drive it longer. I love the style and the interior could have a little more but I am happy. This is my first Toyota and I am in love. I have always had VW but I am a fan of Toyota now. Also the the price I paid is not bad at all. Her name is Faith.....

Overall nice car but....

I rented a 2011 4 cylinder Camry LE for two weeks and was very pleased with it, for the most part. Compared to other cars I have rented in the past (Sonata, Matrix, Impala, Malibu, Fusion), it is one of the best I have driven. The ride is very comfortable and the seats are firm, but supportive. It had great acceleration and decent braking, though sometimes the brakes felt mushy. The steering was very comfortable and the car felt like it was built well. My biggest complaint would be the transmission. During stop and start city traffic, the car is often searching for the right gear. It lurches up a gear or down a gear rather harshly. It has too many gears, if you ask me. The engine does make quite a bit of whiny/buzzy noise on normal acceleration, too, but otherwise, it is fairly quiet. Gas mileage wasn't quite what was advertised on the window sticker we saw with the manual. We got about 20 mpg around the city. No highway driving, though it had plenty of power for it. Visibility was pretty good, too. One thing that I was suprised by was that all the customizable features, door locks, time lights stay on, etc. could not be set by the owner. The manual says you have to go to a Toyota dealer to have them do it. Also, the split rear seats don't collapse flat to 180 degrees, so some larger cargo pieces, like large flat screen tv boxes wont always fit (I measured the 42", 46" boxes), but overall, this is a very nice car.

wish i had my honda accord back

noisy interior. wind whistles in doors and windows. minor fit and finish issues on some interior trim. toyota called it a 2011 model, but it was purchased in may 2010. therefore will be considered high mileage when traded in, as it has been driven for 4 months before typical new models come out.

great family car

Anyone looking for a family car, that is refined, comfortable, quiet & good on gas, the camry is for you. We drove a honda accord before, beleive me there is no comparison. The accord is bumpier & on the highway much noisier. The difference is so stark you think your'e driving a much more expensive car.

Smooth cool car

This is my first toyota, been driving it for five weeks man I love it, great ride, great on gas. I really enjoy my ride to and from work each day in this car. Very comfortable car I am 6'2" 290 lbs and this car is very easy to get in and out of, and the seats are very comfortable. The only thing I would say is fit and finsh inside could be better a few things don't line up well. But over all great car so far.

I Love my Camry

This is my 5th Toyota - my first Camry. For the past 13 years I have been driving a van conversion because of having 3 kids and needing it to shuffle them around and go to our RV. Last December we bought our 16 year old son a 2007 XLE and I fell in love with it. I just got my 2011 and it's wonderful. It's sleek, gorgeous (silver), handles well, a huge trunk, has every feature I could ask for (navigation, sun roof, tinted windows, heated seats, etc.). I have the 4 cylinder and it's amazing how much power it has. I was surprised that I was able to get so much for the money. The a/c is so good that it can actually get too cold! I will never buy a different car. Thank you Toyota!

A great car overall

This is the first time I've ever bought a car just for myself (not for the family as a whole). The Camry has a great ride, not too soft and not too hard. The handling I describe as mellow--very easy to drive. Tracks well with no drifting. The seats are pretty comfortable--a little firm, but I think they will soften with use. Lots of nice features in my XLE. I love the smart key and heated seats. Huge trunk. We've just finished a 900 mile road trip and it was a pleasure to drive, and had mileage over 30 even with 3 passengers, luggage, and speeds averaging 70 on the freeway. We used half the gas that our old Town & Country used. I highly recommend the Camry for someone looking for a good family sedan. Oh, and mine is also a beautiful blue!
