Great Gas Mileage!

This car had 325,000 miles on it before it died. Gas mileage was great. We had issues with the electronic display for the last 100,000 miles that were too expensive to repair. The display went dark and only occasionally (every few weeks) would come back on for a few seconds. This meant that we could no longer get any maintenance/repair warnings. We had a major AC repair after 4 years. We performed regular maintenance. At the end, we had serious braking issues and an audible alarm that wouldn?t shut off. Without the visual display, we had no obvious idea what was wrong with the car & dealer cost to diagnose was excessive. This was a good car and we definitely got our money?s worth out of it.

Not so great.

I've had a Prius for 13 years and love them. This car was sharp on the exterior but drab on the interior, clean but drab. Coyldnt see myself in it at all.

Best car I've ever owned

This is my second Prius sedan. My first was a 2004, which I bought new and put on 320,000+ miles. I could've driven it to the Moon and still had distance to spare! I use this one solely to drive back and forth to work. Commuting over 60 miles every day requires a car with excellent fuel economy, and the Prius delivers!

Love this car

Have owned this vehicle for 6 years and love it. The hatchback is practical, the comfort is great (except for wind noise on highway) with leather seats and back-up camera. The only maintenance we have had to do is routine oil and filter changes and tires.

Exceeded all expectations

Bought used one because a 60mi/day commute at $4 gas meant it would basically pay for itself compared to the Tahoe I was driving. After renting a few on business trips I found they aren't nearly as clunky as you'd think. After a year it became my favorite car ever just for the fact that sitting in stop-and-go traffic for 1/2 hour means getting better mileage, not worse, and the quite smoothness of the all electric mode made it enjoyable. Now, after nearly a decade and 145,000 miles it still runs and drives the same (slightly less mileage) but, incredibly, it has had only ONE repair (stuck throttle) ever, and the dealer fixed that for free. It still has the same brake pads from the factory and just passed inspection. Mind boggling reliability, fuel economy, and plenty of space. I just bought a new one, and will give this one to my kid.

Great for commuting

I purchased a 2008 Prius grand touring. It has awesome features like heated seats, navigation, leather seats etc... Cons: When they say that the car hasn?t Bluetooth it is for phone calls only Pros I cut my gas payment in half The features are amazing

My wallet LOVES this car!

It's a hatchback with lots of room (my bicycle fits easily). The mileage is great. My best tank of gas got 54 MPG. The car accelerates quicker than you would expect. I had NO problems with it until the dealer "flushed" the fuel injectors, at which time the catalytic converter indicator came on. The car had 95K on it at the time. I didn't replace the converter, I'm just driving it.

My second Prius and I'd get one again.

My Prius is very comfortable inside and has plenty of leg room (I'm 6'4"). It has 2 AC adapters, at least 1 USB port in the center console, bluetooth, a backup camera, flood lights in addition to the headlights, JBL sound system, and 3 settings for the rear view mirror. Honestly, I'm not the one to ask about car comforts - I see cars as tools and value their ability and reliability. That's why I drove a Prius for 10 years and just bought another. I live just south of Boston, MA and drove my Prius in the city on a daily basis - it handles traffic and pot holes well. I also drove it up to Maine on a regular basis as well as driving it to New Hampshire and Vermont without thinking twice. Often these trips were to cabins in the woods, ski resorts, or hiking trails. I got laughs and eye rolls from the locals more than a few times followed by surprised expressions as I made it up the hill or across the ice no problem. If you're a good driver who can develop a good "feel" for the car you can take a Prius anywhere. After 10 years and 320+k miles it finally had enough (those were rough miles too, loaded up with boxes, fire wood, anything). I just got a new (to me) Prius with 95k miles on it and am totally confident I'll get several years out of it.
