Not quite Enough Umph

Upon first glance, the Venza may resemble something more like a vehicle in which to transport our love ones who have moved on to a better place. However, once you open the doors, you step into a luxurious wagon. Wood grain, Leather, and a cockpit you just sink into. I had the opportunity to take a 2009 Venza Base in Sunset Bronze on a trip from Richmond to Roanoke, a journey of just about 3 hours. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: ~luxury feel ~nice stereo ~plenty of room for just about anything ~shiny- causing passerbys to stare ~smooth ride-felt no bumps Cons: ~I was follwing a V6 Highlander-on sever occasions I found myself falling behind. Simply put, the 4 cylinder engine isn't quite enough for such a large car ~Color- it was different ~Driver's Seat- had this weird hump in the middle that wouldn't go away and therefore led to quite an uncomfortable ride after about an hour All in all, exterior looks aside, the Venza is a great in-between vehicle. I love driving it, but I would shell out that extra couple thousand for a V6 and some leather fully adjustable seats.

Practical car with a touch of class

This car seems to be a great blend of practicality (e.g. can fit my mountain bike in the back) but has the nice creature comforts (e.g. heated leather and very comfortable seats, sun roofs) and it is peppy enough!

09 Toyota Venza

We've had our Venza for several months now and we absolutely love it more each time we drive it! The fuel mileage is good for just riding around (23-25mgp) and it can even get up to 28 on a trip! My husband, son and daughter-in-law are all tall, and they all have plenty of room inside. We usually travel with our Boykin Spaniel Maggie as well and we have lots of room. It's great for hauling things as well such as plants, patio sets, etc. We love it!!

Excellent Value, would buy another one tomorrow

We got a '09 with nothing but the "mom" package.....great car. Excellent on gas, room in back and way-back, the only knock I would have on this vehicle is the front seat head room. I'm 6-2 and its just a bit tight when I go to drink a water bottle (or something like that) but otherwise its a aexcelletn car and I would buy anoter one tomorroww.

BEST CROSSOVER!!!!!

What can I say except I love everything about the Venza. The look and style is the sharpest out of all crossovers on the market. From interior style with the trim around seats are the most unique ever seen. To the room and comfort is more than anyone could ask for in a crossover. Not to mention the performance and handling is superior! To sum it all up, I Love This Vehicle.

Great all around

The Venza has turned out to be a great vehicle. The V6 has plenty of power. The handling could be better, but its not like its a sports car anyway. The ride is a bit ruff but quiet. The fold down rear seats come in very handy for occations that you have large cargo. Their is plenty of interior room and passangers in the back love the leg room and reclining seats.

Would like to get rid of it.

Choppy, noisy, small vibration noise in dash. Terrible "dead zone visibility" although corrected with small mirrors attached to side mirrors. Why 19" wheels (will cost small fortune for a realativly economical car). Hard to get the rated 29mpg. Previous car, Mercury Grand Marquis, easily exceeded mpg ratings.
