Best Choice I've ever made- All in One car !!

Pros: Great handling on the road, very spacious inside for a coupe, very silent interior, classy lighting Cons: I'd think a 35K car should come with Bluetooth inbuilt and not as extra The first coupe-convertible with a hardtop, this car is definitely my best choice ever. I had to wait sometime before I could get a deal on the price, but what do you expect from a best-selling car in Europe? The car as a couple is exceptionally quiet inside, compared to the conventional canvas-top convertibles. The interior is very classy and the dashboard colors are pleasing to the eye, and not at all a distraction. While driving as a convertible, the ride is very smooth and with very minimal jerks. The wheels hug the road beautifully while turning and making quick curves, and I was infact prodded by the test-drive guy to turn it at 60mph to see that it had no effect on the car's handling. All in all a great car. Name one other car which is a luxury car, a convertible, a sports car with room for 4, and has a swanky design- with a price tag of $31-$34K !!!

Love, Love, Love this Car!!!!!

This is my second new VW, and second convertible (first one being the Cabrio purchased in 1999). I cannot express in enough words how much I love this car! From the styling, to the turbo-powered engine (this car flies!), to the quietness inside the car with the top up (soft-top convertable owners KNOW what I am taking about here) - it is all there - and then some. Plus - it has a huge sunroof (it goes from one side of the car to the other - as oppossed to a small box in the middle of the two front seats as seems to be standard in compact cars. It is a great looking car - top up or down. I also love the fact that it is so new in the US, that very few people have it. I have yet to see another one on the road and people are always asking me about it since so few people are familiar with it (I think that will change soon enough). It is basically the best of both worlds - hardtop in the winter and softtop in the summer. Plus, the way the top goes into the trunk, it is - as my 5 year old niece describes - like the Bat-mobile. My suggestion would be to spring for some of the optional features - the are worth it - such as the heated front seats and the dual air control. Some may not like the small (super-small with the top down) trunk, or the fact that you cannot use the sides of the trunk for storage at any time (this is where the side parts of the top are held when down. I don't know why, but you are not supposed to store anything in these areas, even with the top up. I don't ask questions, I just do what I am told). However, for those like me who are used to small trunks, it shouldn't be a big deal. One feature they should add - a remote control for the retractable top and/or sunroof, or at leat a one-touch button to get the top down. Although it only takes 25 seconds (yes - I timed it), it could feel like a long time when you have to keep your hand on the button. Again - not a big deal. All in all, if you are a lover of convertibles (as am I) this should be your next car!
