Volvo S70 2000
I love this car. It drives great and feels safe which is a selling point for Volvo. The only problem I have is that here in Arizona when it gets really hot the remote door locks get a lithe sticky.

I love this car!
After driving mini-vans for 16 years, I was looking for a fun car. And the C70 fits the bill. I test-drove almost every kind of used convertible (Mustangs, Celicas, Solaras, etc.) Although my friends all warned me about buying a European car, there was nothing that could keep me from getting this C70 once I drove it. The top drops beneath a solid boot, eliminating so many problems that other convertibles have. And you have to love a convertible that's designed for the snow! Great traction, great interior, great Turbo. It's fun, and sporty, and it's a luxury car that I could afford. The only thing about it that I don't like is that it has really unacceptable cup holders, but I can live with that! It also is one of the only convertibles I drove that has a rear seat that two adults can fit into comfortably.

Best Car I have ever owned
I love my car. I have never considered getting a Volvo before because I felt that the routine maintenance would be too costly. It is probably a little higher, but with it being a used car it has been so dependable. Other than the scheduled maintenance, I have not had to do a thing. I am sold out on Volvos. I will never have another car other than a Volvo.

190,000 miles and counting
I've driven Volvos exclusively since my 1973 240. This is a good, but not great car. My previous Volvo was the 1989 240 Turbo. That was FAST and fun to drive. This one is reliable and I expect to get another 50k out of it. Turbo is plenty good. I did have to have the transimission replaced after 35k, though, but under warranty. Typical hard ride but handles nice on hills and curves. Leather is not as good as past Volvos, and the driver's seat is trashed. Great service department in my area.

Best I've ever owned.
I've had this car for 5 years. The only thing I've had to replace was the timing belt (at 105000) which was scheduled mantenance and a fuel pump relay switch. The only thing that I can complain about is that the door panels have come unglued wich I've heard is common. Love this car and wish they were still made this way.

Solid car
Purchased the car used with 82K miles, have had very few reliability problems with it in the 30K miles I have driven it since purchase. Turbo motor has surprisingly good passing power, and the 4-speed transmission is decent for a 4-speed. Handling isn't really sporty, but it's fun enough on back roads if you're not trying to kill someone. Interior design is good, seats are awesome, and it has a great 8-speaker sound system with strong bass. I have gotten about 29-30 MPG highway (around 70 mph) and 21-23 around town. The turbo definitely sucks gas, but the mileage is decent for a sedan with this level of performance. It also has side airbags, unlike most cars produced around this time. Definitely a recommended car - not the sportiest, but a great highway cruiser.

Not a bad car , no dealers help
I have had the car for all most a year, it has 45000 miles on it. I do most of the repairs. when I need help the dealers dont want to give you any information, thay want you to bring it in for them to make the repairs. Buy the way, you cant find them in junk yards. I plan on keeping this car as long as it dont suck the bank dry.

Reliable and Economical
Talk about Faster than expected. Also pretty good gas mileage for a car with a turbo. But above and beyond everything, it's nice to know you are in a Tank.

Classic Volvo, Solid As Rock
I owned a Volvo 850, and most recently, a S70 GLT which was without a doubt, the best car I've ever owned. While it's not quite as stylish as BMW, Lexus or Mercedes-Benz, it's just as safe, just as comfortable, and dead reliable. My only word of caution is to buyers looking at an example with over 100,000 miles. The S70 starts to need brakes, suspension bits, and other expensive things at around 120,000 miles. But overall, great solid and most of all, safe cars. I can vouch for the safety, my 850 saved my life in a crash. That same day I bought my S70. Do you need a better reason?
