However, I decided to give it one more shot—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, Kara provided outstanding service. She was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful—never pushy or dismissive. Her courteous and attentive approach made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for—a Lexus RX Sport—and I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase. A special thank you as well to the team member who assisted with the financing process; their support and efficiency were greatly appreciated. Overall, Open Road BMW delivered a level of service that restored my confidence in the car-buying experience.
2023 BMW X1 review
Excellent in many ways, death to the ConnectDrive
Just picked-up the X1 on Mar 28th and had a great ride home from the dealership. Handles very well on the road with ample torque when needed. Hate the start/stop mechanics and the fact that you must deactivate each time. Hate the ConnectDrive thing—beware this is a sinister ploy to get more of your dollars and convert once standard car features into subscription services. It is evil. Love the interior. This is my third BMW, so I think this X1 interior is quite good for the money and I am astounded by the standard features list—Wow! And there’s a spare tire with tools in the trunk, WHAT!? I use a touch screen all day, so the tech is no stretch, as long as it works. We shall see, the OS is new. Dual clutch….hmmm, it has its advantages, but smooth take off ain’t one of ‘em. The seats are superb and the cabin very clean. Love the cargo space. This is a good vehicle for a certain group of buyers who want cargo and fun. This is a smart ICE choice, and I hope there will eventually be a U.S. bound iX1.
