2020 X1 w/sport seats and convenience package, purchased in 2023. Positive notes: It's a true BMW: sure-footed, agile, and no shortage of power when needed. It feels remarkably glued to the road despite its small size. Handles as well as my former 3 series and is just as fun to drive. Storage space is good. Ergonomics are good once you figure out all the technology. Negatives: Ride is a bit bumpy, even for a sporty car, which is apparently caused by the run-flat tires. If I was buying new, I'd get standard tires and a real spare, which fits in the storage space in the back. Sensatec seats are hot. In retrospect, I'd hold out for leather. Overall, I recommend this car if you're looking for something small, practical, full-featured and sporty.

Smallest SUV in the range and it still drives confidently. Plenty of power and torque from the turbo 4-cylinder. A very refined ride. Interior appointments remind you that you’ve bought a quality car.

Its too soon to know about reliability but the performance is outstanding. It maneuvers beautifully in city traffic as well as interstate driving. It is quiet and feels put together well.

Great for a small/short person. Not comfortable for tall people. Love all the premium features. All leather interior, navigation, heated seats and steering wheel, memory seating. Electric adjustable passenger seat. Not a great sound system though.

This is an update from my February 1, 2019 review. I have now owned the vehicle for nearly seven years. I’ve personally driven nearly 20,000 miles in it. The vehicle now has nearly 50,000 miles on the odometer. I purchased it certified pre-owned from a BMW dealership. I have maintained the vehicle to manufacturer specifications. I have only paid for routine maintenance. I have paid for zero repairs. My previous review is confirmed. Full disclosure, two repairs were covered under warranty by the BMW dealership when I purchased the vehicle and one other repair was performed by a different BMW dealership due to their mistake during a routine service.

Hands down the best car buying experience I’ve had. The customer service was outstanding they even went out of their way to offer us snacks and a sandwich. You can tell they are a well-oiled machine, working seamlessly together to make everything smooth and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend them to all my friends and family. The X1 sounds like a diesel motor when you start it, they could've def made it more comfortable, the brakes are really mushy, can only use super unleaded. The plusses are it's a BMW girls think I'm rich, Lighting on the interior at night is wild, performance is amazing, buying used saves tons of money. It's a thin line to buy this car, I feel like I got lucky with the price I paid and I'll be in a good position by the time it's paid off, but pricing has to be right on this car and it has to be in good shape mechanically. Buy from a reputable dealer because I wouldn't want to imagine how much it would cost to maintain/repair a poorly maintained one of these.

I've had three 2015 X1's. Drove the wheels off one, one got stolen and on my third. Love this car! So economical and the gps is off satellite, not cell tower. Get maps ANYWHERE, for life. I only have 72k on it and will be my last vehicle.

The BMW X1 is fun to drive. The sunroof is awesome. This is a nice small SUV that has plenty of trunk space. I would recommend buying this car

This is my first X1 and it won’t be my last! I love the size, performance, and interior. I’ve owned other BMWs in the past and this one does not disappoint! I can fit a ton in the back and it gets really gas mileage. So far I haven’t had major issues with it- just properly maintain it and all will be well.

Most comfortable car I have ever driven. My 6th BMW. So easy to get into tight parking spaces. Brakes a bit tight- need to get used to!

this is my first bmw, being a toyota and honda guy previously. this is a honda plus, meaning the refinements you wished your honda had, this has. powerful, comfortable and a bit more luxury. not quite the gas mileage of my crv but a super automobile. so if your looking at this you must be contemplating a purchase. do it you won't be sorry.

Great vehicle for the money. It is BMW quality, but with a peppy turbocharged 4-cyl, it gets up and goes and goes a long way on a gallon.
