Used BMW X1 for sale near Sherman, TX

This is an update from my February 1, 2019 review. I have now owned the vehicle for nearly seven years. I’ve personally driven nearly 20,000 miles in it. The vehicle now has nearly 50,000 miles on the odometer. I purchased it certified pre-owned from a BMW dealership. I have maintained the vehicle to manufacturer specifications. I have only paid for routine maintenance. I have paid for zero repairs. My previous review is confirmed. Full disclosure, two repairs were covered under warranty by the BMW dealership when I purchased the vehicle and one other repair was performed by a different BMW dealership due to their mistake during a routine service.

Sheesh!! Shehab is the guy to see at BMW McKinney. From the moment I walked in he treated me like family. No pressure, no games, just straight honesty and great service. He got me the exact car I wanted and made the numbers make sense. Best car buying experience I’ve had.

Car delivers more than I expected. Two must have options are Technology Package and Driver Assistance Plus - that combination is hard to find. Sport seats are very comfortable. Lack of knobs and buttons is an issue - miss them. There is a huge learning curve transitioning to a touch screen. You must absolutely make use of the BMW "Genius" service. Highway MPG exceeds advertised value.

I worked with Shehab at BMW of McKinney and he was outstanding. Transparent with pricing, explained the lease/finance breakdown clearly, and made sure I got the best deal possible. Super responsive even after the sale. Highly recommend him if you want someone who actually cares.

Reliable and high performance BMW x1 with excellent value for the money. It’s exactly the same as an x3, but smaller cargo space. Easily fits 2 rear passengers.

Had a great experience working with TJ at BMW of McKinney. He was patient, attentive, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted without wasting time. Communication was on point, and he kept everything transparent throughout the process. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in what he does. Highly recommend asking for TJ if you’re in the market for a BMW.

The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

Vehicle is a strong performer (no surprise here given its "M" designation. No disapointments in that regard. Sport seats are very supportive; especially with the lumbar support adjustability. Cabin tech is abysmal though. Not at all intuitive; functions nested down menus where you would never expect them. Owners manual is 480 pages! Really ! While the vehicle makes me smile quite often the complexity of the cabin tech has me cursing every time I start the vehicle. The so-called "Genius" program help line only works Mon. - Fri. Central time in the US! Not too happy about that either.

TJ at BMW of McKinney exceeded my expectations. He made the process simple, fast, and actually enjoyable. Very knowledgeable about the vehicles, straight to the point, and respectful of my time. No pressure — just honest guidance and great customer service. If you’re buying a BMW, make sure you ask for TJ. You won’t regret it.

Drives smooth. Great with the electronics. The car is very high tech and up to date. I would definitely recommend this car !! Very spacious and has alot of leg room!
